We bought this for our daughter for Christmas. We wanted to start her with a real keyboard that would last as she got older but also was a bit simpler with fewer than 88 keys. This was the perfect choice. Its weight is enough to feel sturdy, but not burdensome to have simply sitting on your lap. The speakers sound clear and crisp. The quiz functions are fun and educational. It takes batteries or plugs into the wall. I found the batteries to last a relatively long time considering it only takes AA batteries. It feels like a quality purchase for any beginner, and has inspired my wife to try to learn as well. I love this piano. It is very high tech. Great quality strong durable has a lot of different. Sounds a lot of different settings that you can use. It has ox it has microphone. and more. I have it for about over a year now still works great.

    • Excellent beginner piano
So I am someone in their late-20's, and I decided to take piano lessons. I looked around online for used pianos and most of the pianos were really old (don't know if that makes a difference when one is just starting out), and they were charging prices that are usually for brand new pianos. I looked around online and came across this one. The price is good, and well it's my first piano, so I didn't know what else to search for. The sound quality for the piano is excellent, but it's not weight sensitive (duh!). The materials used for construction are also good. The only thing that kind of irks me would be the power button. It's not the most responsive button, especially when I try to turn it off. I would prefer the power button to have a clicking sound, idk, that's just me.     • My 6 year old is obsessed!
My son used to have a small kids keyboard that eventually broke. He had out grown it anyway so for his birthday we decided to get him a major upgrade. We decided on this one because of the reviews and I like the shape of it a lot. I felt like it looked professional but kid friendly. There are lots of setting for different sounds that my son loves to experiment with. My son even taught himself a version of “the wedding song” it wasn’t perfect but it was pretty dang close. I was super impressed. I think it’s also a good thing to teach responsibility. It’s nice enough that he takes pride in taking care of it but not so expensive that if something happened to it, it would be devastating. Also would like to mention that with batteries and daily use it lasted for well over 5 months before we needed new batteries. ... show more
