I love this sound projector. I've recently bought a 55 inch OLED TV, so I needed to pair it up with a good sound system because the TV's built-in speakers just wouldn't cut it. I didn't want to mess with any wires and a multitude of speakers, so I decided to shop for a sound bar. This sound bar (a sound projector rather) is a perfect compromise between sound quality, ergonomics, and style. It looks very stylish and fits compactly in the TV cabinet just below my TV, so that I also have room for my Roku and an electronic clock in the same space. The subwoofer is of nice finish as well. The sound is great! Of course, if you are a fastidious audiophile, then you would be better off with a wired home theater system (with an AV receiver and speakers). But if you are looking for a sound-design-space solution, then this product would work great. ... show more

    • NO sound through HDMI
When attached to RX-A880 there was no sound through HDMI. Checked soundbar through Bluetooth connection and had good sound. Used multiple "high-end" HDMI cables. Yamaha was unreachable for assistance and all forum advice had no success. Returned item. New and unopened on arrival.

    • Great, if you can take advantage of the surround feature.
I really like this set. We just moved from a house we owned with a proper 7.1 wired set up, to a house we're temporarily renting. As I'm not keen to wire 7.1 for a temporary home we don't own, I looked for an easy, elegant solution and settled on this kit. First, you MUST have the right kind of room and furniture arrangement for the virtual surround to work. It relies on the ability to use some advanced calculations to bounce sound around the room from the 16 drivers to give you a true surround sound. If it can do this, the experience is damn near magical. If it can't, then the sound won't envelop you. That said, even if it can't due to your room constraints, the sound is very good. It works great as an AirPlay speaker for our iOS devices and we route our HDMI devices through the bar. The wireless sub does a good job of handling special effects and can bring some rumble. Overall, I recommend this soundbar if you can take advantage of the surround sound, but if not I'd go with a cheaper option. ... show more

    • Not getting the surround sound I wanted.
This was supposed to give surround sound but doesn’t work very well in my room for surround sound. The sound is very good and speaking voices do sound clear. Would probably work in a small room. It is very expensive for not providing surround sound in my space.

    • It’s way over priced for what it is.
I think it is really over priced. The phantom 7.1 doesn’t really work. I had/have a 5.1 bar that sounds better. I didn’t think I could return this one so I kept it.

It's nice easy to setup with my LG 55 oled class c tv. Obviously it isn't a component system with standalone speakers but it produces big sound and good effects and I got a good deal!

I purchased this to go with my LG OLED 65E6P. I wanted a soundbar that is slim but also delivers great sound. I am not an audiophile but this Yamaha sounds great and has exceeded my expectations. I have read "great reviews" of Definitive Technology W Studio. I had Definitive Technology W Studio for 1 day which I connected to my LG OLED 65E6P. It took me only a few minutes to decide that Definitive Technology was NOT for me. Yamaha YSP 2700 is ideal in size, aesthetics and functionality (4 HDMIs including one ARC HDMI, Blue Tooth, Wifi, Ethernet port, Air play etc). This will not disappoint.
