This was the perfect solution to adding another cymbal to my Yamaha drum set. I was worried that the arm would be too small to place a cymbal over my toms (two up one down), but it worked perfectly for my 16 inch Wuhan China. I was able to place a 16 inch China over my two toms with plenty of room for adjustments and I didn't have to add another cymbal stand and increase my drums footprint. If you have to gig a lot, you will be thankful for having this little boom arm. It eliminates one cymbal stand. I have many of these nice Yamaha short booms and was surprised the set pin joint was defective. When fully tightened down the joint still was still loose. Amazon took back for exchange. Overall these booms are very high quality but this one never should have gotten by quality control.

Good price on an excellent bit of drum kit hardware. I love the Yamaha drum kit hardware-it's well-thought out and well-made. I really like the ergonomic, 'stair-step' handles that conform to shape of your finger grasp when you're tightening down a position on your stand-it genuinely feel like you get a little more leverage. I pieced together a set of Stage Customs a few months ago and was so impressed with the hardware that I made it a point to have all Yamaha bits on this kit.
