If you know anything about drums (or read the description) you know this shell pack is just the drums and not any hardware beyond the tom holders. So no need to knock off any stars for that. This does rate 5 stars given the quality of this kit at this price point. Do yourself a favor and buy some new heads. A set of Evans UV2’s woke up this set, as did the Evans Genera HD smoothed out the snare. To aid in tuning, I recommend the Evans Torque Key - Drum Key Tuner... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002D0HZI?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share to help dial in your sound. Now that everything is tuned, I’m really happy with the kit. Great build quality and fit and finish. Tone of course depends on tuning but I’ve gotten big booming sounds to punchy attacks with some overtones. Yamaha delivers. ... show more

I didn't realize this set was drums only no cymbals or bass pedal. I should've read the description better. They appear to be very good quality. I bought them for my son's 14th birthday. This is a beautiful, five piece drum set. Yamaha is, of course, a very good name for low priced drum sets. However, I fell for the pictures that showed a high hat and two other symbols in the grouping and did not bother to read the fine print that said that the other accessories were not included. I just won’t express my frustration at how annoying that really is. It’s hard to believe that a reputable company like Yamaha would stoop that low anyhow, it’s a nice drum set and even without the accessories it’s a very good price. ... show more

This is for my daughter's christmas. Mine came with everything but the cymbals and foot pedal that I knew it wouldn't but it's also missing the snare stand. However, it came with all the hardware and googling a video on YouTube it got me through assembly which is pretty easy once you got through it. Otherwise, its a great instrument really sturdy. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW IT DOESN'T COME WITH CYMBALS OR SNARE STAND!!! The quality is very nice but I felt scammed because there included cymbals and many other items in the picture that it does present.

The media could not be loaded. The item looks great, but it’s missing things here. At least the stand for the snare room should be included. I’m not happy happy if I paid more attention with the description five pieces I will not buy this one. so if I was going to lay somewhere that will be impossible it’s missing so many things here. ... show more
