Description

Revstar II refines the look, sound, and feel of Yamaha’s original Revstar® guitar series. The RSS20T is available in four café racer-inspired finishes and features a custom tailpiece. Its chambered body and carbon-reinforced neck were developed using Yamaha’s exclusive Acoustic Design process to enhance tone, reduce weight, and ensure optimal balance without sacrificing resonance. P90-style pickups combined with a 5-position pickup selector and a passive push/pull Focus Switch provide uncommon versatility for a two-pickup guitar. The RSS20L model for left-handed players is also available. A deluxe gig bag is included.

  • Great guitar for someone wanting something a bit different.
Color: Black
First, the guitar is excellent. Set up nicely. Only picky things might be that frets are a little rough, a polish job will fix that, and the weight. It’s not a hollowbody, but a chambered body. I still love it. Unfortunatly, it arrived with the tailpiece damaged. I have contacted the seller, geartree, about that. I’ll rate it based on how it plays, not how it looks! Follow up: Geartree went above and beyond to remedy my complaint. I will buy from them again. ... show more

  • Just buy it
Color: Sunset Burst
I really, really like this guitar and I like it more every day. It's easily the most well built of my guitars. The only tiny issue was that the bridge was a little high on the low string side, but that was an easy adjustment. I'm not crazy about the strings that it came with, but I prefer coated strings, so that's just me. I like all the settings, but you should know that position 3 cancels out the 60 cycle hum. Edit: I just tried drop tuning it for the first time last night. The difference that the carbon fiber reinforcement in the neck makes is that unlike my other guitars, when I dropped the E string to D, the other 5 strings stayed perfectly in tune. ... show more

  • AMAZING!!
Color: Black
I am blown away by the Revstar Standard! It is the nicest guitar i own. The build quality is astounding and its so beautiful. The frets are flawless, the binding and finish are flawless, it feels like a dream to play, and it sounds incredible. The P90s sound fantastic, but i think the "focus" boost is pretty useless. It sounds cool when using the bridge pickup if u want to add some mids and cut some highs, but other than that it makes your tone too muddy and muffled. The out of phase positions can sound cool though in the right context, but i could live without them to be honest. The tone and volume circuits are really useful, sound great and transform the guitar into a different animal if need be. I think the treble bleed works well too. The set up out of the box was really nice as well. So far i havent had to do anything to the guitar and it just plays wonderful. Im very happy that i decided to get one and i would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a very good guitar with p90s. I honestly think this guitar lives up to the hype ... show more

  • Calidad excelente
Color: Hot Merlot

  • The go-to guitar.
Color: Sunset Burst
The RevStar is perfect for my use. I am working from a bedroom and can't disturb everyone else with my acoustic instruments. I am using it with a NUX MP-3 and headphones as a practice setup. I also play it bare to work on fingering and it provides enough acoustic sound (chambered body) to provide feedback. It provides everything that I need and doesn't break the bank. This is a gig ready instrument with a decent provided gig bag as well. You can have your cake and eat it on a budget. There are three tiers to this lineup and this is the middle tier. I sit quietly in my room jamming with a deluxe reverb amp and nobody else can hear. ... show more

  • Love it!
Color: Black
This is a beautiful instrument and great to play. I’ve been more of an acoustic player and this is only my second electric in 20 years but I couldn’t be happier. Maybe one point to consider is that it does seem a little thick up the neck but not crazy. It’s not a factor for me, but some may not prefer that. Otherwise it sounds and feels amazing. I recommend this guitar. ... show more

  • Not as expected
Color: Black
Purchased new. Was sent a refurbished guitar, box was in shambles, fingerprints still on the guitar from the previous owner. Parts were loose, pickgaurd, pickup covers, tuners. Overall the guitar appeared very cheaply made. The boosted tones were horrible and worthless in my opinion. If the transformer fails in a few years getting parts will be a nightmare, the whole focus switch felt like a gimmick. I can’t suggest anyone purchase this guitar. Action was ok, fret dressing was good. Still felt cheap. Still rather heavy for a chambered guitar, this one was 8.5 lbs… felt similar to my Les Paul. The neck is set up for shredding and is too thin and flat. I was severely disappointed. The YouTube paid influencers did their job and convinced me to buy a crappy guitar. Not doing that again. ... show more
