With USB to HOST audio and MIDI connectivity, it's easy to expand the capabilities of your instrument by interfacing with creative or educational apps on your iOS device or computer. 11 Super Articulation Lite Voices (SALite), inherited from the powerful PSR-S models, are now included, which give you even greater expressive, real time, control (e.g. String Scratches/Guitar Slide noise), adding to the realism of the Voice. On-board lesson functions, including the new Touch Tutor, help to supplement regular piano lessons. For fun, plug in your portable music player to the AUX Input and use the melody suppressor to soften the lead vocal so you can sing and play along with your favorite tunes.

Not good for a beginner to build finger strength. Didn't work for me as a professional because the keys are flimsy so its easy to hit a wrong random key and the keys are smaller and thinner than a standard keyboard. The sound also sounds very fake to me because if you try to play louder it crescendo in a very electrical way not responding like a real piano. I have other keyboards and they don't respond sound wise like this one so I returned this because of that and the keys. It has a lot of sound selections and big speakers. Decently loud sound. The media could not be loaded. Yamaha no longer needs fame, it's an excellent brand of musical instruments, the PSR EW310 is a very good model for beginners and even a little more.

Though I have been in the choir since elementary days, I only learned how to play the piano mid-last year when my late-husband encouraged me to learn. We have a Yamaha stage piano at home but it's too heavy to take to church. As such, I have been looking for a portable keyboard with great piano sound. I actually bought a folding keyboard online towards the end of last year --- portability was great, but the piano sound was disappointing. After a long research, I decided to purchase this Yamaha PSR-EW310 76-key Portable Keyboard. And I was not disappointed - the sound (not just the piano sound) is great, the weight is light enough to carry around, and the price won't break the bank! =) Since I just recently purchased this keyboard, I have yet to use it for our choir, but have been happily learning to use its different functions at home. Great instrument! Connect an iPad and use it with the Yamaha app to easily control all its functions. And to play along with your favorite songs. Check it out! It will rip the chords from any song. It's awesome!

This piano is honestly so amazing for the money. Very rarely do I ever feel like I robbed a company…. But I do for the price vs what this thing does. The pressure sensitive keys and the realistic instruments and the volume and sound are all 5 stars. Well done!

The Yamaha PSR-EW310 76-key portable keyboard is one of the best keyboards I have ever owned. I bought this one for my son, and he really is loving it. It has everything you need/want to begin playing very quick. He already plays quite well and really enjoys all of the built in sounds, voices, and teaching programs. He finds that just using the teaching program is taking him to a whole new level of playing. I understand the price is a bit higher than some others, but it is really worth every cent paid.
