This is a pretty nice table for what it is. Its cheap and so I can forgive that its like press board or mdf or whatever you want to call it. The unit is pretty sturdy though and overall feels like it would hold up fine. I tested the water resistance of the finish because I have a desk that's made from similar materials and looks very similar honestly. The desk can not handle water at all though. Happy to report i left a super sweaty ice cold glass on the table and after just over 1 hour and a lot of condensation I found no damage, discoloration, or problem at all. Assembly wasnt too bad but it wasnt super fun. Could have been much worse though and everything lined up and fit nicely. Size wise I knew it would be a bit smaller than I wanted and it is but it seems to be available in many layouts and sizes so cant complain there. The storage is amazing and kind of a game changer. Hate having a cluttered table and this allows anything and everything to be stored away safe and sound. My only "legitimate complaint" would be the corners and edges are very sharp. With press board you cant sand and round over the edges but I wish they had a way to make this a nicer safer transition. If one of my kids fell and hit the corner of my old coffee table, they would have a bump. This one I would expect blood because the corners really are sharp!

This is a wonderful table and an excellent value for the money. It’s a sturdy piece and very functional with all the different storage areas. For the most part, it was easy to put together. The hinge mechanism seemed to be reversed based on the instructions, but I was able to figure it out without much trouble. It’s not too heavy to move alone, which I appreciate since I sometimes work out in the living room when I can’t make it to the gym. My 6-year-old grandson is even able to lift and lower the table on his own. Overall, it’s a great piece—practical, attractive, and worth the price.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars I like this coffee table but am still not happy with two things after assembly. First, I can’t get the gap (between the stationary and liftable parts) on the tabletop even. I even tried adjusting the screws on the lift several times. Second, the drawer color has an orange hue. I expected it to lean towards brown. Besides that, I appreciate that the table has lots of hidden storage that I didn’t have before; things are conveniently stored away but still on hand. Also, the lift tabletop height is comfortable to use as a desk while sitting on my sofa. In regards to the assembly - All the parts were available for assembly and additional spare parts were provided. - A screw driver was provided but I recommend using a better quality screw driver and a drill for the dozens of screws that need to be tightened. Also, using a rubber mallet to tap parts into place. - The instructions were easy to understand. It states that it would take one hour to assemble and require two people sometimes. It took me about two hours and there was only one step that required two people. The step to have a person hold up the lift tabletop and another person to screw it to the coffee table. - Finally, Part #10 (lift tabletop) had the direction sticker in the wrong spot. I attached a pic. Installing this the wrong way will cause the lift table top to overlap with the stationary table top.

Nice little modern black table. It is fiber board, but it should last at least a year or two. More than half of the table top raises and doesn’t seem to have a risk of falling when in use. The drawer is fabric, so you can change out the color with something else or not use it if you prefer. The top closes slowly and does not seem to be much of a pinch hazard.

This is a well made coffee table with some nice features. The mechanism behind the slide out top is a little wobblier than other coffee tables I've tried, but it's still functional. It's also not the biggest table, but it works for my use case. Assembly was straightforward. For the cost, this is a decent table with a lot of storage.

Assembly took a bit of time but wasn’t difficult, and once put together, it feels sturdy and well balanced. The lift-top mechanism is smooth thanks to the gas struts—it raises and lowers without much effort, and it’s stable enough to use as a laptop desk or for eating.
