I have been searching many websites for this lift-top style table. I saw many others for much more money and am happy that I gave this one a try. The table arrived within 2 days of me placing my order and then I went to work to put it together. I was able to assemble everything by myself with the exception of installing the screws to the lift top and the rest of the table. My husband had to help me with this. I held the lift top in place while he installed the screws. He agreed that it would have been difficult for him to do this last part on his own. I am ecstatic about all of the storage, particularly the storage under the lift top. This helps keep the table nice and neat. I am looking forward to using this table as a work from home alternate desk when I need another place in the house to go to change up the scenery.

For $70 this is a pretty nice coffee table. The assembly directions are not ideal, especially as they're almost entirely pictures. There is a lot of room for error -especially when installing the lift top, but if you take your time the end product comes out really nice and functional. Im not sure how well it will hold up given that it's made of MDF, but it looks decent and at this price point, i'm not expecting it to hold up for the long-term. Overall, i'm really happy with the table.

The table is very attractive, sturdy, useful and the soft-close hydraulic hinges are a plus. But unless you have a very mechanically inclined person like my daughter, you'll go NUTS trying to assemble it! 😵

The first steps of assembly was pretty easy. But when it gets to the legs & to attach the lift top part to the table you will need a drill. The holes were too small for the screws and you need force to put them in. It took me an hour and a half to assemble the whole thing by myself with a mistake of putting the lift top backwards so probably it should've only taken an hour and 15 minutes. When I finally finished, I noticed that the lift top table has a gap when closed (as shown on the picture & the other review). That's the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars! The color is too dark for my living room but I'm planning on covering it with contact paper. So far this table is sturdy and it's easy to lift the table top and has a lot of storage space!

Be careful when you open the box and assemble. I saw possibly fiber glass with dust in the box so I had to make sure I wipe down all the pieces, wear protection during assembly and vacuum afterward. If you can, I recommend doing it all outside. The table itself is really sturdy and has everything I needed. It has a lift top which I can use to use a laptop or have a casual Movie dinner on. It has a good size storage. The middle piece for the side shelf is adjustable. I see the exact or similar designs on Amazon and other websites for more prices. The alignment of where the lift top and the rest of the table top meet isn’t perfect (but it is flat which I care more about) and the legs have slightly a different color than the rest of the table. The lift top part is a little hard to open and close. Assembly instructions were pretty clear, but screw part would help if you have an electric drill - it was tiring both my husband’s and my hands. It’s better to have 2 people working on it. Overall I’m satisfied with the table but not with how the seller packaged the product. Fiber glass is a health hazard.

Like you probably read before this, it can be difficult to build if you haven't done so before. I found it straight forward but do not rush into it and read the directions ahead of your next move. Thats a warning. Overall the table looks as great as the photo. Solid build and finish. But the table legs do not match but generally don't affect it that much. Overall looks great and is a steal, compared to the other tables of similar aesthetic but much higher price.
