  • Super cute but very small
It is so cute and the colors are great. I prefer the piñatas you can actual hit with a stick and break vs the pull a string kind so I was very happy to find this fun T-Rex piñata. It seems to be made very well. I expect it will last long enough to give twenty toddlers/little kids a couple of swings each. Its primary two drawbacks are its small size and the weight distribution of the piñata once filled. This is the right size piñata if you are having a party with only 6 to 8 kids. More than that and there is no way you can get enough stuff into it. I had to use every bit of space available inside the T-Rex and I only got about 30% of what I needed into the piñata. It is so full, it tips forward when hung due to having the entire head filled with candy and toys. If I had known its size I would have still ordered it but I would have ordered a few extra so we could have enough candy and stuff for each kid. Additionally, with extras on hand I wouldn't have had to over load them causing them to not hang to right way. If this T-Rex had been double to triple the size it would have been perfect for me and I would have given it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Good size for small party
Worked well. Broke open in the middle not off the head hook

  • Great piñata...maybe too great?
Great pinata -extremely durable. Like too durable for kids... it should be noted that you have to have some serious muscle to break this thing down. It took 6 4-year olds and 2 grown men about an hour to bust in enough to get the candy out and that's only because we knew where it's weak spot was (the whole you put the candy in). I'd like everything in my life to be as durable as this "breakable" candy holder. Super cute though and would be perfect for a group of animated adults. Or really strong, patient children. ... show more

  • Great looking pinata
This was a really cool pinata. Looks great and is good sized for a kids party. Don't be fooled by the short tail on this dinosaur like I was when I first opened it. It actually sits on its tail while standing up allowing it to balance which was great. I was even able to convert it into a pull string version pretty easily though I would not recommend cutting it along the belly like I did due to the cardboard frame not going all the around the body in some spots. ... show more

  • Adorable and not too big!
I loved this pinata. My daughter is very into "sharptooths" (aka T Rex) and loves purple--so hooray for the purple stripes! Other posters have complained that they can't find the spot to put the candy in. Mine came with a clear plastic sticker saying "Press Here To Fill." I took off the sticker and felt around with my fingers. The body of the pinata is cardboard, but sure enough, right under that sticker, there is no cardboard, only the red and purple tissue paper. I made an opening the size of 2 silver dollars. Have yet to fill and deploy it, but I'll probably cover the hole with my own tissue paper. I love that it's not so big that I have to buy tons of stuff to fill it. Edited to add: After I filled the pinata, I patched the hole on its back with a "skin graft" of red tissue paper and Elmer's glue. Looked great. The kids at the party loved it. When it broke, though, it broke from having the hanger tear off and leave a giant hole in the top. The pinata went flying but mostly still intact. The pinata wrangler just took it and shook it so all the stuff fell out. I stand by my "excellent" rating though--the perfect thing for a dinosaur party. ... show more

  • Where the Party At?! In this T-Rex!
**This is a small piñata. If you look at the image, I have a ruler lying alongside the piñata. It is barely 2 feet from about to tail.** This guy is a hit. A couple things first 1. I was a little reluctant to buy a piñata and have it shipped due to how fragile it is. 2. I was unsure of the dimensions due to the snout and tail and despite the product description needed to see it for myself. Well the T-Rex arrived safely and securely in a very well packaged prime box. It was in perfect shape. There is a part of the back labeled where you can cut open and insert your contents. Tip, make sure you stuff into the tail and the jaw. Yes! There is space there! The colors in the photo match the real life piñata. I have it filled for a bachelor party, full of plastic airplane bottles and candy. When affixed to a rope, with all of the weight it was very sturdy and did not buckle or break. I can't wait to bust this bad boy open! ... show more

  • Super small/doesn't hold a lot
The pinata looked a lot bigger in the picture and it came in a huge box, but in reality it is so small! More of a centerpiece for a table and there's only a small cavity in the middle of the body that holds about five handfuls of candy. We ended up cutting a hole on the top of the head in order to put a little bit more candy in there. When it came time to break it, it was extremely tough because it was so small so we just tore it apart by hand. It is really cute and got the job done somewhat which is why I'm giving it two stars. I should have picked up the dinosaur pinata from Walmart... ... show more

  • Perfect for the 4 year olds--exactly as pictured.
Mine came exactly as pictured; not smashed or rumpled in any way. The dimensions listed are accurate--the 22 inches are from nose to tail. It holds a 2lb bag of filler, plus some extra, pretty easily. The only thing was it didn't have an opening pre-made to fill it. So I just used a small serrated knife to cut a little door on his back to fill it. No big deal. Every child got two hits in with the stick, with only little bits of paper coming off. (It seemed pretty sturdy; at this point, we adults were talking about cutting some weak spots, or giving it a go.) Then one child gave it a good whack just right, and it broke where the attached zip tie is to hang it. Not broke apart, just a piece of the back along with the hanging zip tie. This did not deter the kids one bit; then it became a brief free-for-all of beating it to pieces on the ground. They had a good time; the pinata was well worth it. ... show more
