The cushion is firm. I bought it because it was a kitschy, cheap storage solution, and I didn't hate how it looked in the pictures. I was pleasantly surprised to experience it in person. 1) The lid goes up and down with ease. 2) The cushion is a very firm memory foam-like material. 3) It easily holds my & my boyfriend's weight (over 350 lbs or 160 kg). 4) the storage is ample. 5) It took like 10 minutes to assemble.

We moved recently and I got a better paying job. We jettisoned all of our old alley furniture and replaced with new. Our living room is small and to make it functional I wanted a storage ottoman to use as extra seating when friends come. This one is nicer quality than I anticipated. I bought a good lint roller to keep it clean. Looks awesome with our sofa and the rest of our stuff.

This is a beautiful bench. I have it in my entryway and it's perfect for guests to sit down and take their shoes off. It's also very interesting looking, so it makes my entryway look a lot more custom. It also has a great functioning bench where you can open the lid and have extra storage. I use it for shoe overflow for guests when I have a lot of people over. Putting it together is a little bit tough because the screws are hidden within the legs and the legs were hidden in a zipper in the seat. I struggled with putting one of the legs together so it's a bit wobblier than I would have liked but it's still pretty sturdy! the only downside is that it's a hard seat. If you accidentally flop down on this, you'll feel like you've broken your back haha. All in all great value for the money because it has a lot of storage and is a great size, and is soft even if it's stiff and it's interesting looking.

it's cute and sturdy! it was a pain though to screw the legs into the bench the screws were hard to line up so i suggest getting some help with that. otherwise that was really the only thing that needed to be screwed in. you don't need any tools the bench comes with everything you need. the storage is also a good size if you wanna put a throw blanket or some sheets.
