I was looking for a summery linen/flax duvet that had an older/heritage feel for my 1813 Historic Home/Farmhouse. I didn't want something too slick looking. I feel my house has a sort of summer house look - where the old mismatching antiques - while still beautiful and useful go - while the posh residence in the city (if I had one) has the shiny new furniture. This fits the bill perfectly. Note, the case that the duvet comes in is NOT the color of the duvet. The duvet is very natural looking. It feels exactly like linen/flax - which gets softer when you wash it - but has a natural irregularity and texture to it (which I think is stunning). You could get perfectly smooth cotton duvets - but that's not what I wanted. The natural color is BEAUTIFUL. It looks HIGH END and PRICEY. And while I typically like the button closures, the zipper lies flatter - and the ends of the duvet are finished in a tailored way which is lovely. Only negative is that the ties inside are not flax themselves but ribbons and are loops - and the duvet has loops so I will at some point have to sew on ties. I love this duvet! The color is exactly what I expected. The duvet material is thick and of good quality. A little more on the coarser side for texture, but it’s still very comfortable. Have washed it 3 times so far, and no pilling. It fits my queen bed perfectly. We did the trick of using a king size duvet insert with this queen size duvet, and it’s like a cloud! ... show more

I really love this cover! It’s softer than the ones from ikea and really well made. I was a little suspicious at first but am very happy with the product. Bought it last summer and it still looks great, no knotting fabric, no pilling, etc. worth every penny.

So it’s not bad but honestly it’s really itchy and it’s also a little too big for a queen sized duvet but it is exactly what it said….it was linen it’s thick and it’s good quality but it is itchy I’d rather a light weighted linen that’s softer it kinda irritates my skin tbh

Pros and cons to this one. I purchased the queen size duvet set in olive green (after returning the natural/linen color because it looked like a sickly pale yellow, nothing like the picture). Pros: 1. It looks nice, the olive green color is much like what's pictured: a muted grey/green. Just don't order the natural/linen color. 2. While it's not soft, it is comfortable enough - it doesn't feel scratchy. 3. It's somewhat dog hair repellent - and if your furry little dears sleep with you in your bed as do mine, that's a huge plus. 4. The eight ties! If you don't already have one, make sure you buy a duvet insert with eight tabs, it's so worth it. For the first time EVER, my duvet insert stays properly inside the duvet cover. Even the little bed clips don't work as well as this. Cons: 1. The pillowcases are too small for standard pillows. As you can see from my photos, they're so snug that the pillows don't even sit on the bed properly, they kind of stick up on both ends. Even though the ones I got are meant for queen pillows, they're this tight even on my standard size pillows. 2. It's HOT. Even with my air conditioner set to "arctic," it's hot. My face feels hot and sweaty from resting on the pillowcase, and so does my arm and hand because I sleep with my arm under my pillow. I had read that linen is cool, but this linen sure isn't. 3. You need a special detergent without sodium hydroxide to wash it, which they don't warn you about. The first one I got came out all blotchy with the color bleached out in spots. I used one of those gentle "free and clear" liquid detergents, and I used cold water and the delicate cycle. They were very kind and sent me a replacement, but they didn't warn me about the sodium hydroxide, so the second one got bleached out too. Then they finally asked to see the ingredients in my detergent, and eventually got back to me that I shouldn't use anything with sodium hydroxide, which is actually a common laundry detergent ingredient. This should be a warning on the Amazon page description, and on washing instructions that should come with the product. They said they'd be changing the description to include that warning, but they haven't. So check your detergent before washing! 4. Even with the proper detergent, cold water, and delicate cycle (no dryer), there's yucky bits of fluff that form on it. I lay it out to dry and once it's dry, the bits of fluff dry up also and fall off - which is good, except then I have to vacuum the floor. ... show more
