  • The xvive t9 is a beautifully crafted 2ba iem, that has a very engaging sound!
Size: T9 IEM
I've been enjoying these iems for almost a week now, and I've finally figured out my thoughts enough to review it. Firstly, this iem is super easy to drive, and gets to hearing damage levels of volume very easily. So no matter what source you're using, volume shouldn't be an issue. The build quality is just ridiculous. Absolutely stunning! This level of resin build quality is usually found in iems much more expensive! Take a look at the pictures in this review, I'm truly blown away by the look, feel, and build quality on these! The included cable is good enough, but I'm a little crazy and swapped it with a yinyoo cable anyway! The included tips fit fine, but I actually found them to hurt the sound quality. These actually have a somewhat claustrophobic sound with the stock tips, and was improved massively when using different tips. I ended up using TRN T eartips, and it sounded so much better! The sound signature is definitely best described as L shaped. The bass is very prominent, and takes the mainstage. Thankfully, this has to be one of my favorite implementations of balanced armature bass I've heard. More specifically, the bass is extremely tight, and slams unexpectedly hard. The subbass is also impressive, maintaining extension and rumble even down to around 10hz. Very impressive, especially for a balanced armature!! The midrange is decent, but in general the whole midrange is overshadowed slightly by the bass. The midrange is generally soft, and non fatiguing. Vocals sound fairly good, especially female vocals in genres like Jpop. Instrument separation is also good! The only real concern is, the timbre isn't quite as natural as some other iems in the price range. The treble is another story. Well executed! Non fatiguing, and provides great detail. It doesn't do anything wrong in particular, and is generally enjoyable. My only real complaint, is that extension could be slightly better. The soundstage is fairly good as well (after changing tips). I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a "reference" sound. I think this iem is well suited to someone looking for an enjoyable listen with a focus on bass. I'm guilty of listening to these for hours on end! This set has a place in my collection! ... show more

  • Great IEM wireless system
Size: One receiver plus one transmitter
I've been looking for a wireless IEM system for a long time. Most of the less expensive ones are really cheap looking and the ratings are not particularly overwhelming. Looking online I see that the XVive U4 gets high marks not only on Amazon, but from industry leaders as well. I decided to just go with the bit of extra money and get one. It is well made from metal and plastic and has a nice weight to it. I've used it 4 times now and have 2 other band members who have purchased the system based on how happy I am using it. It works great plugging straight into our Soundboard board or plugging it into the Behringer P16 personal mixer. I also use it at church to monitor the sound output of the board we use. I'm very pleased with the ease of use, quick set up, battery life and size of this awesome wireless IEM system. ... show more

  • Most game changing purchase you can make for your band, live vocals, and running click.
Size: Four receiver plus one transmitter
This unit is small, sturdy, and an incredible value. I tried audio2000s as cheap alternatives to real in ear systems, and they are a pain. Batteries die, LOADS of ground noise, crackling, and losing signal. These things use wifi signals! There is literally ZERO ground noise. I'm no longer listening to the woooshing ocean sound of a terrible radio signal. Even more amazing is how small they are... I used to have to use 2U of rack unit space to mount the old in ear rigs, and run all this crazy splitter wiring. Now, I literally plug the TINY (size of the end of an XLR cable, and can fit next to, or in between 2 other XLRS) transmitter into on of the aux lines of my Behringer XR18, and that's it! Of course the tiny packs on each of the 4 band members belt loops too. They come with dual charger usb cables, so charging is a breeze. Also, it comes with an adapter to make it XLR or just quarter inch. So the other day the band was doing a live recording, but we wanted click, and monitoring so I plugged the quarter inch into one of the headphone outputs of my Apollo 8p, and instantly, with no cables, all 4 band members have click and monitoring. Absolutely phenomenal to not have to run cables. They ONLY ONLY ONLY downside, is that they're mono. But if you wanna go stereo, either use wires for studio recording, or maybe spend the big bucks. For me it's not a deal breaker in the least, as often times live, I take one ear out, and use an earplug to hear some of the stage volume. My only next step would be to maybe get another transmitter, so I can have a different mix as the singing drummer, than the front man. Do not sleep on these. If nothing else, try a single one, and within minutes of using it, you'll know you'll want a kit for the whole band. Can't wait to see what else xvive comes out with in the near future, and i'm now contemplating a lot more of their wireless solutions. Sub 5ms latency, and no noise.... ... show more
