My lift sat in my garage for three or four years until I needed it again, and then it wouldn’t hold pressure. I tried to bleed it, etc, but something rotted. So, I bought this ram and swapped it out. Took something like 15 minutes, it was easy, and now I have a working lift again. Love this thing! Used this on my old engine crane, to replace a leaking cylinder. It's about an inch and a half longer than the original one, and I worried that might be a problem. Turns out the crane still folds completely for storage, but the real bonus is that it now goes up about a foot higher than it did before! I use my crane a lot, and having that extra lift is a true joy when trying to lift over the core support, or stabbing in a motor/trans combo! Thought I'd save a few bucks buying this as apposed to a real Torin ram, big mistake, this thing is a poor copy, the Torin Ram has a 1.335" diameter shaft, the Stark, which is what shipped is a Stark, the shaft is only 1.180" Save your money and aggravation and spend the extra $5 for a real one.
