Fixed my AC by buying this Vacuum pump and a AC manifold on a truck that sat in the yard for 4 years. I revived the truck back to working condition and the AC was completely out of Freon. This Vacuum pump + an AC manifold of Amazon for approx. $140 total and 2 x 1lb. cans of Freon from Walmart for $20 got the AC blowing ICE cold now. Make sure to get complete vacuum out of the AC system - typically 45 mins. of pumping out using a vacuum pump but this one is slow and I went double the time - almost 1.5 hours of pumping out the AC system. AC works great. The only disappointment here (aside from slower than expected pump out) was the amount of oil that was included because the bottle of pump oil that was included was only 2/3 to 3/4 full, so giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The unit is great otherwise and came well packaged to avoid damage during shipping. ... show more

I had it working for about an hour, the case got warm but not too hot to touch and it pulled 30 inches of vacuum on my manifold gauge. It is relatively quiet and there is little vibration. The included oil is just enough to fill it to the full line in the sight glass. It's a good value for the price. We shall see if it stands the test of time with more use. ... show more

Purchased this for evacuating line Sets for a Mini Split Heat pump. Draws a great vacuum! It came with oil but just enough for what I needed ro do. I bought a couple of gallons for other projects. Very easy to use!

One use since the purchase. It pulled 33 in HG for 1/2 hour. It had an electrical burning smell 10 minutes into the job and smelled like that for the remaining time. In 70 *F weather in the shade it was too hot to touch and had to cool down for 1/2 hour before storing it. It did one job but seems on the edge of an electrical/thermal meltdown. ... show more
