Well, the good news is that it’s still a hammock and that is it’s main intended purpose. The bad news is that the lights stopped working after 1 night of leaving it outside. LFSMVT hammock is pretty cool as a small light backyard hammock or car camping hammock. Might be too big and heavy if you're counting OZ's for backpacking. I don't like using apps for every piece of tech i own so i can't speak to the app. I do like that the lights are powered by 3 AA's instead of some built in lipo that can't be replaced. Got this for the kids to play around with. Once I figured out where I can mount it it all worked out. The battery pack that comes to run the leds is nice. Which they would have run just a rechargeable set up that is why it lost one star.

I'll say, this hammock isnt bad, but the LED strand is a gimmick. It just isnt a very good LED strand. It. only lights up yellow green, and red. It definitely doesnt look ANYTHING like the picture. If they used a denser LED strand, maybe it would be better. The hammock itself is your standard parachute material hammock. It uses cheap aluminum carabiners so make sure to switch those out before putting more than 200lbs in it. I do like that it includes the tree straps for you. That is a big plus since I would almost certainly have to buy my own set with other hammocks. ... show more

I finally got the Hammock stand out of the camper so we could test out the Hammock. It only took a few minutes to set up. The carabiners and straps included are sturdy. The battery box takes 3 AA batteries. However the instructions just say 3a batteries. It held me very comfortably, I'm 6' 5" at 255 lbs. My son pictured, gave it 2 thumbs up. He's 5' 9" at 175 lbs. My daughter thought it was the coolest hammock of the 3 now 4 that we own. The lights worked great and we agreed that we wouldn't sleep with them on, but they come in handy for finding your spot at night. So our opinion is that it's a good crafted hammock with the bonus feature of the lights. I've paid more for less features on a hammock (had to buy carabiners or straps.) This comes with everything you need minus the trees or the stand to hang it from. ... show more

I haven't tested it out just yet but I am so excited to use this hammock while camping come spring time when it warms back up some! I love that the lights sync up with my music and that it can hold myself AND my boyfriend for a little romance.
