  • Comfortable
Size: 6 Color: White
I bought these for my wife, I bought 1/2 size larger because I know she’d need big socks to stay warm, we haven’t hiked far yet but walked the dog a couple miles on a wet trail, she said the fit is perfect with regular socks (mens socks) and if we were actually hiking she said puffier socks would be perfect too add support, she preferred then a little loose for the local walk but she didn’t really tighten them so technically the size is correct, she wears a 5 1/2 I got her 6 she could’ve gotten the 5 1/2 and been just fine. She said they are super comfortable, we walked down a wet hill that we normally slip down she said she had great traction. She has dozens of worn once shoes due to fit but now she keep asking to go hiking. The day we walked it was 33 deg F she said her feet were super warm normally they’re always cold even with name brand expensive boots. Being such a small boot on her they are not bulking or looking like cartoon feet. Really cute, super comfortable no break in needed, warm and great traction. I too got the same brand and the tread is the same size on her size 6 as my size 12 so in reality her grip is much better, no more rescue missions when she falls down the hills bonus! Did I say they were cute, especially with her tight hiking pants. Oh and yes they’re water proof, we walking through a tiny creak the water went over the top of her feet and stayed dry, they must come with repellent because the water just beaded off still looking brand new and dry. We’re going winter hiking in the snow 1-29-2022 and if there is an issue I’ll update, if they stay warm and dry I’m not going to update so if it’s after 2-2-2022 and no update then the above review stands. Trust me if I have to hear complaining of cold or wet feet there will be an update. ... show more

  • Love these boots! Definitely go up a size!
Size: 8.5 Color: Black
I bought these for a winter vacation in Colorado last month. After reading the reviews I opted to only go up a half size instead of a whole. I was ok with this but after putting in an extra insole, I could only wear an average thickness sock, not thick ones. (I have to wear a special insole because i have problems with my heels.) The insoles aren’t really too much thicker than the ones you can buy at a store, but if you need insoles and want to wear thick socks, go up a whole size. I would still go up at least a half size even if you don’t use extra insoles or if you alternate between sizes in normal shoes because they do run small. I’m a true 8 and never have to get a different size which is why I only went up a half size. If I did it over again I would go up a whole size bigger. We hiked 3 or 4 miles a day in the snow in the Rocky Mountains and my toes only felt a little cold after a few hours but were never so cold that I was uncomfortable. I’m sure if I had on thicker socks I wouldn’t have felt the cold at all. I have low arches so I was worried that the boots might have too much arch support like a lot of shoes, but the subtle arch support was just right for me. Some reviews said they didn’t have to be broken in and I 100% agree. I only wore them around the house for about 10 mins before I actually wore them hiking. They never hurt my feet. I do feel like the tongue of these boots are very thick though. Maybe that’s for support but I found that a bit bothersome. Also Like some reviews said, these boots did rub my leg a little when I was trying them at home, but once I had my fleece lined leggings on I didn’t have a problem with it. I feel like you could also roll your sock down to that point and it would remedy that. I think this happens because the tongue is so thick, it’s hard to tie the boot tight at the top and that might be what was causing it to rub? I don’t have big ankles so that wasn’t the problem. Overall, I am very happy with these boots and I can’t wait to wear them again. They are lightweight, very comfortable, kept my feet dry the whole time and worth every penny I paid for them. I live in the south and we don’t get snow so I’m hoping these will be great for summer hiking too. I will update this review when that happens. ... show more

  • Conquer Any Trail in Comfort
Size: 9.5 Color: Black
These hiking boots are amazing! They provide excellent support, traction and stability on both rocky trails and uneven terrain. I recently hiked a challenging mountain trail and my feet felt comfortable and supported the entire time. Excellent support and stability. Keeps your feet secure and comfortable on any terrain. Waterproof and breathable. Keeps your feet dry in wet conditions and prevents overheating. Comfortable fit. True to size and offers a comfortable fit right out of the box. Durable construction. Well-made and built to last. Cons is that they can be a bit heavy but this is to be expected for a sturdy hiking boot. I'm extremely happy with these hiking boots. They're a great investment for any serious hiker and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable and supportive pair of boots. ... show more

  • SPIDER-MAN GRIP, IRON MAN STRENGTH (and also great for manual labor jobs) *EIGHT YEAR UPDATE* SPIDER-MAN GRIP, IRON MAN STRENGTH (and also great for manual labor jobs) *EIGHT YEAR UPDATE*
Size: 8.5 Color: Black
*Update at the bottom* I originally bought these hiking boots in 2018 for a camping trip to Enchanted Rock, TX. When I first tried them on, they were pretty stiff but incredibly sturdy and comfortable. I broke them in during our trip, hiking trails and doing some bouldering. I wore thick wool socks one day and regular white Nike tube socks another day, but the boots weren't too tight and fit nicely with a little wiggle room if I wore thinner socks. I didn't end up with any blisters, and they were extremely warm and kept my feet cozy. If you've ever been to Enchanted Rock, you know there are a lot of vertical slopes and steep-incline rock faces, but I FELT LIKE SPIDER-MAN SCALING A GLASS SKYSCRAPER because these boots gave me incredible grip and didn't bend or crease at all. Even after walking through dirt, sand, and dust, these gave me the best traction and not once did I feel anxious about slipping the way I would if I was wearing some regular Nike or Adidas running shoes. I was also shocked at how light they felt on my feet and didn't have the clunky, heavy drag of other types of rubber hiking boots. As for being waterproof, they performed just as I expected, passing with flying colors. No amount of mud or rain could infiltrate the seams, and my feet stayed nice and dry after traipsing through muddy fields and rain all day. Fast forward two years to 2020 and they are still in great shape after countless camping trips and hikes. They're a little dusty, but besides that, the laces haven't frayed, the rubber hasn't cracked or started peeling, and the insulation and comfort inside is still super cozy and supportive. I started working at a car shop as a mechanic, and I had planned on ordering some new steel-toed work boots, but in the meantime I wore my Xpeti's. I was once again amazed at how sturdy yet comfortable they were, and even though I have dropped heavy metal wrenches on my feet, stubbed my toes on solid metal machines, and almost had my feet lightly torched, these boots have completely protected my feet. The hard rubber shell around the toe is thick and inflexible, and combined with the padding inside, it prevents anything from actually crushing or banging into my feet- hence the "Iron Man Strength" I mentioned in my headline. And despite being on my feet all day, once again they are extremely comfortable while still providing the support I need. Overall, I would buy these boots 10x over because of how much I love them. They are not only lightweight, have great grip, and are incredibly warm, dry, and comfortable, but they are super sturdy and protect my feet from any damage. If you're looking for a pair of hiking boots, look no further because these are just what you need. It is now 2023 (about to be 2024) and this is my five year update: still going strong. I joined the military and had new boots issued to me for my uniform and let me tell you- these Xpeti’s outdo “military-grade” in every aspect. They’re still sturdy and grippy as ever and I would wear them every day with my uniform if I could. Since my last update I got to test these out in snow and ice (against my will) when we got snowed in at Palo Duro Canyon over a weekend and every part of my body was freezing except for my feet. Yet again they were warm and dry despite trudging through wet snow and ice sludge, and are still no worse for wear. I guess I’ll be doing another update in two years, but I just might run out of good things to say about these boots 😂 It’s 2025 and they’re still alive! Many a mile and adventure I have been on since my last update, and these boots are still kicking. Most recently, I wore them for training and in the Bataan Memorial Ruck March, which is in White Sands, NM. (Basically a 26.2 mile trail through sand/dirt/gravel in the desert with 45lbs on my back and yes, it was terrible.) In terms of comfort/blisters: zero complaints. I didn’t even get to change my socks because I forgot the extras in my car, so my feet were stinkin’ and sweatin’ and they still came out unscathed with my skin intact. However, they were H-O-T, HOT! Honestly, I should’ve known better because they’re insulated so that’s on me, but they are still sturdy as ever and my ankles were grateful for the support. For wear and tear: they are dusty and crusty and I have beaten the insoles to a pulp. At this point, the boots are white as a ghost and practically sole-less (ha ha). The outer soles are still in good shape with no cracking or crumbling, although the right toe cap has begun to lift, which means no more waterproofing :( The outer shell itself also has started to deteriorate just from the sheer amount of use, but nothing exceptional. Laces are good, hooks are good, heels are good…need I continue? At this point in their lifetime, I am still so pleased with how they are holding up despite the abuse they’ve been through. If there’s one thing I’d do differently, I would’ve sized up to make more room for a better insole and still have wiggle room for my feet swelling during normal activities. I mean, really, I’ve had these for almost a decade now and they’re still going strong! I never would have guessed I’d be using them for this long since they’re so much cheaper than a majority of “high-end” hiking boots, but here we are. See you guys in 2027? ... show more

  • Is flaking material part of the normal quality? Is flaking material part of the normal quality?
Size: 8 Color: White
Theses arrived at my door on Jan 2, It is now Feb 23 same year. I purchased these on sale and was excited to be getting some warm boots that I could walk in snow /ice/ or water. I live in Texas Hill country so this is probably 2 weeks out of the year. I wore them to work on cold days, I have an office job. So minimal use. What lead me to write this review. I was taking off the boots and notice the upper material was flaking off where the laces are tied. Then I noticed the rubber sole was starting to come off the boot and more flaking of the material. I truly enjoyed the boots the 10 days I wore them. However, I expected them to last at least 3-5 years. It is over 30 days and I have missed the return window at Amazon. My feet stayed warm the support and inside held up, Of course I have really not worn them much. I am flat footed and enjoyed the boots. If you have a hard time putting on slip on boots you may shy away from these. They can be difficult to slide your foot into the small opening. if you see the picture, the orange part does not open very wide, but that is not what the review was about. It is about quality and material. ... show more
