  • Great Value Hiking Boot
I bought these boots to replace old ones, and was looking specifically for vegan, waterproof boots to take on a trip to Banff. These did not disappoint. Upon receiving the boots, I completed a 4.5 mile, easy/moderate hike in Colorado to break them in. When I first put on the boots, they felt a bit tight with my wool socks, even though I sized up half a size. I felt pressure in my arches during the hike, but nothing worth stopping to relieve. When I took the boots off, I had severe cramps in my feet, so bad to the point I could hardly walk -- needless to say, I was very nervous for how these would hold up hiking ~30+ miles in less than a week. I stored the boots in a cool, dry place with the laces undone for the week between this first hike and my trip. I put the boots on for our first hike and found they had loosened up a bit -- very comfortable with wool socks. I wore these boots throughout a week's worth of hiking across paved trails, rock faces, wooded hikes, and even trails full of puddles through a rainstorm. I had no pain at all, and even through hours of hiking in the rain, my socks were totally dry when I took off these boots. These provided stable support (especially for the ankle area) and hold up on the waterproof moniker. I would certainly buy these boots again. While it is certainly best to break in hiking boots before a longer hike, that practice seems particularly necessary for this pair. Hike around with them, let them breathe, then hopefully, you'll have the same experience I did and will find them to fit perfectly. ... show more

  • Runs nearly a size too small
They were much too small so exchanged them for a larger size. I wear between a 9 and 9.5 so I ordered the 9.5., had to return them for a size 10. The shoes are very solid, sturdy and the ankle part doesn't seem to give at all not sure how comfortable it will be hiking a 2 or 3 hours in them but am willing to give it a try because the boot is SOOOO comfortable. The very cushy insole is really impressive. Just a side note, I am very hard to fit. My feet are narrow and my heel is even more narrow so I added stick on heel cushions to remedy the roomy heel. These boots look like they are made really well. I love the rubber lining on the outer boot. Definitely looks like it will hold up to wet/muddy trails. I wore them to a party outside in 40 degree weather and they kept my feet toasty warm. ... show more

  • Wears out quickly
This is the best fitting boot; lots of support and arch. However I think I have worn them a total of maybe 6 times. They are already falling apart. Bummer.

  • Well Constructed
Size: 10.5 Color: Grey/Blue
Well constructed and tough hiking boots. Order a size up and they will fit good. The style is made for rugged terrain ..very good track rubber soles. Very pleased with affordable price. They came professionally packaged box.

  • A little stiff but overall a good and good looking shoe.
Little disappointed in these but I put my shoes through hell and they’re pretty inexpensive. I work 10+ hour days doing physical labor in Texas, so I wear boots a lot. I had previously had a taller pair of similar Xpeti boots which were pretty ugly - but hard wearing and comfortable. This more attractive pair hasn’t lasted as long (but still multiple months) they were mainly comfortable but very stiff around the ankles, and after a few months have started to develop some anomalies inside the shoe that tub on my toes - I’m having to look for a replacement pair now that will be more comfortable. They are waterproof and the outside hasn’t broken down at all yet (I tend to get through a pair of boots about every 4-6 months when seams start to crack and they let water in, I think they’ve hit the lower end of that timeline and are still waterproof.) these shoes would probably hold up for years with less demanding use and they do look good. ... show more

  • The quality has declined but Xpeti stated they will improve it
The boots look nice and are comfortable, but the quality is not so good. I am not sure what is happening with Xpeti, but the quality seems to be declining. I really want to give them a chance, but I bought these boots in August, and they started to get ripped on the first week of use. If the quality improves, this brand could definitely get five stars. Update: I upgraded the rating from two stars to five stars because Xpeti contacted me and stated the will improve the quality of their products, they offered to fix the issue, so they have excellent customer service and I value that very much. They have addressed my issue and solved it in a very honest and reasonable manner. This kind of service is very rare to find with other companies out there. After their excellent customer service, I am absolutely giving Xpeti another chance. Thank you, Xpeti team. ... show more

  • New or Used?
Size: 10.5 Color: Black
Everything was right about these boots except when I received them they looked like they'd already been worn several times and someone had just dug them out of their closet. Tell me why they were already dirty?

  • Fair
I tried to like these shoes. I definitely liked the price, but I am not completely sold on the shoes. I began this journey with the boot wearing size 9.5. Those boots chaffed my shins. I returned the boots for the lower 6 inch shoe. I tried sizes 9, 9.5 & 10 (I normally wear size 9, but during the winter I have thick, wool socks). The 10 were entirely too big. The 9.5 "fit" with a little additional room in the toe box. I decided to challenge them on a hike. Approximately 2 miles into my hike the shoe was rubbing my ankles. It was like the shoes were shifting because the 9.5 was a little too large. My ankle was chaffing (the shoes are quite rigid). I tried the following week with the size 9. Hard no for my toes. Hiked 4 miles & I was overcooked. Extreme foot fatigued. The shoes are stiff/rigid & not completely "waterproof". They feel heavy & they are not as flexible as I would desire. I really wanted to like the shoes. ... show more
