  • Nice boots!
Size: 8 Color: Coffee
So far I am very pleased with these boots! Having never heard of this brand before I decided to give them a chance based off of reviews and price point. I’m planning on using these as an early season boot for elk and whitetail hunting. I wear a size 7 but since XPETI doesn’t list a 7.5 I went with a size 8. I like to wear a very thin sock liner and a medium weight alpaca wool sock by Hollow socks, particularly when I’m hiking a lot. These boots seem like they’ll be good for side hilling and rough terrain hiking because of the stiffness of the ankle but time and use will tell as they soften up and get broken in. Regardless, I always like to bring two pair of boots with the spare remaining behind in a gear bag in my truck. I’ll update my review as I get more mileage on them. Edit: Alrighty! I’ve got ten miles rucking in these boots. 40lb sandbag on an Eberlestock F1 Mainframe. I swapped out insoles for a pair of Superfeet “hike, cushion” insoles. The boots show minimal sole wear so far. I can’t attest to waterproofness as I avoid getting my footwear wet as much as possible. Cushioning: excellent. Ankle support: excellent. Laces: lock securely. So far nothing but good to say about these boots except for one little thing. The left boot toe crease (flex point) is right on top of my little toe. This has caused a nasty blister on two separate rucks. I’ve varied my socks and sock liners but that crease just sucks. So, instead of blaming the boot I solved the problem and invested in a roll of Alpine Armor blister tape. WAY better than traditional moleskin! I wrapped my toe in the tape, wore an Injinji sock liner and a medium Point Six hiking sock and away I went. I felt a slight pinch on my toe but nothing like had occurred before. I rucked 3.25 miles. Got home pull off the boots and socks fully expecting another blister. Nope. Nothing. Not even a raw spot. I’m looking forward to using these as my primary boots for my elk hunt in the high country this September. I don’t think that one could go wrong with these at all, especially for the price point. ... show more

  • Recommend without doubt
Size: 9.5 Color: Black
Excellent boots, warm, waterproof, very comfortable, they do not hurt the foot and do not feel uncomfortable if worn for a long time.

  • Quality/longevity is just ok. Otherwise, great boot.
Size: 14 Color: Grey
Great boot for the price. I bought them last year and wore them probably 20 times for various tasks and hikes. They’re very comfortable, definitely waterproof, they keep your feet warm in the winter, and they look pretty good too. They also have great ankle support and fantastic grip. My only problem is that after about 6 months of occasionally wearing them, the rubber soles started to come away from the material around the sides of the front of the foot area. It won’t be long before they’re no longer waterproof and completely useless. But they were only 60 something dollars, so I’m not complaining too much. ... show more

  • Just a damn good boot
Size: 10 Color: Camouflage
I always wore Rocky lightweight deer stalkers The Terminator is by far a better boot fit and quality of hundred and mine for three seasons they've held up very well Will wear another three seasons if you buy this boot you will not be disappointed

  • Very warm, dry and comfortable.
Size: 14 Color: Black
Very comfortable waterproof all around up and down. The insoles have plenty of padding all around. It feels like you are sticking your foot into a pillow. The boot has strong support no slipping or sliding around inside with strong grip and traction on the outside. At the end of the day, your feet want to keep going. ... show more

  • Great boots, great price
Size: 10 Color: Camouflage
I've only worn these once so far, for a very rocky, but short hike. I bought them for the upcoming hunting season. I was amazed at the quality, comfort, ankle support, and water resistance for such a low price.

  • Excellent grip and comfort, awful waterproofing/water resistance
Size: 11 Color: Grey
I know reviews can often get confusing between specific products, so I am reviewing the "XPETI Men’s Thermator Mid-Rise Lightweight Hiking Insulated Non-Slip Outdoor Boots". I purchased these boots a few months ago specifically to take with me to Yellowstone National Park and surrounding areas in general. We planned to do a great deal of walking and hiking, and we knew the weather would be very rainy, wet and snowy at times. I spent a small amount of time using them around the house and out and and about just to get used to the feel. They did a great job with those "every day" type activities. On to hiking: These boots have outstanding grip and support. I walked over thick and thin ice, slush, rocks, loose dirt and gravel, slippery wet surfaces and asphalt. I absolutely recommend these boots when discussing specifically the support they give your feet and ankles when you need grip. They did everything I needed my boots to do in that regard, and I felt confident stepping and walking on any surface I came across. These boots are also quite warm. I worse some basic hiking socks, some thicker winter socks and just regular socks with them. In temperatures down to about 28-30 degrees F, I never had an issue with the cold (if my feet were dry - more on that below). Good stuff on the insulation. Now, the reason I can only give this three stars. I would actually give these less than three if I didn't really like wearing these for all of the reasons above. The boots I received are in no way, shape or form waterproof. They proved to even barely be water resistant. From walking in dew-covered, ankle high grass to light rain to heavy rain and foot-deep snow, my feet were wet within minutes every single time. This resulted in cold feet. Every single day I wore these while in Montana (except for when everything was completely dry) my feet and socks got wet. I had to stick these directly over heat vents in the RV for hours each night to somewhat dry them out for the next day. If both of my boots just happened to come defective, then so be it. I would accept that as an excuse. If they are not defective, then be wary: These provided very, very poor protection from water. The skin around the boot seemed to do a fine job with water resistance. I can't be sure, but it seems to me that water entered the boot at the point where the rubber meets that skin. Regardless, nothing I did except for literally avoiding water at all costs kept my feet dry. With that said, I actually really do like these boots. They look great, feel great and provide excellent support and grip. I regret my purchase because the primary reason I bought them is for the advertised water proofing. ... show more
