  • Surprisingly sturdy and comfortable
Size: 11.5 Color: Black
I've taken these on a few hikes and they provide amazing ankle support. I walked into a lake and I stood with the water over the laces for 1 minute and 37 seconds before I felt any moisture in the boot. I stepped into some deep mud that came up over the laces and my foot stayed dry. The tread is deep and exaggerated which is fantastic. The lacing is snug and does not loosen and the grommets are metal. I'm not sure what material the boots are made out of I have owned and still own leather boots but these feel thick. Almost as if leather was wrapped over some kind of flexible armor. However they made these boots it's quite impressive. There is tread on the toe in case you are mountain climbing and need a tow push up some rocks for a little added grip. The rubber of the sole curves up over the toes near the tip of the boot for added protection. There was a break-in period for the boots, I would recommend bending them so they crease where your toes meet your foot for maximum comfort while breaking them in. Everyone should own a pair of these boots that rock! If mine ever wear out I will definitely buy another pair. ... show more

  • Very nice boots..
Size: 8.5 Color: Black
When you put on a hiking boot there should be no slippage. This is a very nice boot. 8 inch uppers and very well made. It’s tight around my foot but not uncomfortable. Some hiking boots will wear you down after a while but I wore these boots all day for the first couple of days to break them in and they did not hurt my feet out wear me down at all. Great design with a very nice tread made to keep you from slipping and you do not have to worry about walking through a lot water. They shed the water just fine. They are insulated and keep your feet warm. I have been wearing these outside in 14 degrees with ice and snow for an hour or two at a time and my feet did not get cold at all. I recommend these boots to anyone that hikes out walls in a regular basis or even the individual that just wears there boots for normal weather reasons. The only negative detail is that on the left boot the tongue and eyelets are not straight down the boot. They angle slightly in but it surely isn’t anything that would deter me or make me send them back. These boots are well priced and will definitely suit your hiking or walking needs. ... show more

  • Snug fit
Size: 11 Color: Coffee
They're pretty comfortable. We'll see how they last at work. First impression is they're decent material and comfortable for boots.

  • Warm,traction good. Feels secure

I’m happy with the purchase and the traction on rubber and warmth inside. Worth the purchase if you need a pair

  • Great boots!
Size: 11.5 Color: Camouflage
I was hesitant purchasing these boots for hunting even though the price was cheap. I am really glad I did now! The quality of them is stellar. They are very well built with sturdy material. The comfort level is amazing, the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn hands down. My buddies at the lease all asked where I got them and now want to get the same pair after trying them on. Definitely great for hunters on a budget. I recommend these boots highly. I put them on right out of the box and put them through a stress test walking out to my tree stand through creek bottoms, rocky hills and the piney woods. Feet are dry and the boots are holding up great. We will see what they do by end of the season. ... show more

  • Great for Alaska weather
Size: 11.5 Color: Black
Excellent cold weather shoe. Very comfortable. **Note - All my boots are 11D. I read reviews saying to order 1/2 to 1 size larger. I ordered 11.5 . shoulda stuck with 11 so seems true to size. Still with thicker socks comfortable and warm.

  • Expected yet unexpected
Size: 11 Color: Black
I bought this pair to replace a previous pair of the same brand (Cordura model) I purchased almost a year ago. I use these boots as my work boots and seeing as I work in a refrigerated environment (40°F avg.) I thought I would give the insulated model a try. As expected, fit was exactly the same and it should be as previous pair/model are made on the exact same footbed and overall shoe design, just different upper materials. Now, we get down to the nittt gritty...dry traction is not quite the same as the previous pair but pretty darn close. Compared to the previous pair, wet traction on the other hand (the non-slip advertisemnt) is non existent; it's as though the formula for the sole rubber has changed. Wether it has or not, I can not say for sure as I have not asked the manufacturer about it. By comparison to the previous pair, it's a night and day difference, I don't feel the grip and stability under foot when walking on the wet concrete (something I often have to do at work) and metal dock plates as the previous pair which seemed to grip with great tenacity in all the conditions I face at work daily. As I mentiined earlier, my work environment is refrigerated and my toes would get quite cold at times, hence why I opted for this "insulated" pair as my repacement. The manufacturer advertises that the insulation is effective at keeping one's feet warm down to -13°F...well, suffice it to say, these do not live up to that claim by a long shot, my toes are just as cold in this pair as they were in the previous pair. Am I going to return this pair....not just yet. They are comfortable and do seem to be quite water repellent (upper material) and not enough of an issue in the work environment at this time that I feel it's pertinent to do so. I just have to walk with more care than I normaly would when the floors are wet. In all honesty though, I am still debating on sending them back because I don't want to risk a "slip and fall" injury that could cost me in the long run. I have barely had them a week and only worn them to work 4 days. I'll give them till the end of the week and see if the "wet grip" changes any at all (maybe the sole needs to "break in"). My only other beef with the shoes (this is referring to the other pair and pretty much every other shoe brand out there)...why is the heel counter material so weak and thin? This area of just about every shoe on the market is the first spot to deteriorate in a shoe and it makes shoes uncomfortable and a pain to take off without one's heel catching on the material preventing the shoe coming off when wanted. A wedge shaped piece of high abrasion resistant material like Cordura for instance in this location would do wonders for the durability of the shoe. Is this instance enough of a deterrent to go back to this manufacturer again for another pair of shoes...I think not. This could just be a fluke, a one off instance but if any of the other styles offered by this manufacturer are like my first pair and offer up the same kind of traction as that pair had, i will definitely look to them for my next pair of hiking shoes/ boots. ... show more
