I had added a front lip on top of my old splitter so the old rods I had no longer reached. These new ones fit in the same holes perfectly so I did not have to adjust anything but the length. Although I did have a hard time finding a small wrench that fit the nut piece I ended up using a plier after being in between sizes of wrench especially for the small room I had under the grill. *** UPDATE - They have rusted and broke once again. SEE MY PHOTOS! *** Had to purchase all new hardware because the stuff they used was absolute trash. The nuts wouldn’t stay tight (the turn buckle fell off in my pocket) so I replaced all the nuts with nylock style nuts. Yea, the item is cheap as hell and a great perceived value but you need to add another couple bucks and a run to the hardware store to the cost. Kinda disappointed. Update: One of the through bolts already sheared off and needed to be replaced as well. Just garbage. ... show more
