This is not exactly what I was hoping for. I was hoping for maybe a better product (higher quality/ standard). The product sheds from day 1. It wreaked of petroleum the second it was unbagged and still today has a chemical smell. Because of these two traits, I was unable to use these for the purpose I had intended. This is very similar to the artificial grass you might find on rolls at retail hardware store and that people use over hard surfaces for outdoor spaces as opposed to actually using in place of sod. The only key difference is these 12"x12" squares have a bit of backing, which I thought would reduce shedding. This might work for other craft projects, but was not a good fit for mine. ... show more

I ordered these to use for an outside area that I made a checkerboard pattern with 12x12 cement squares. We had put sod in the inbetween places which later turned to weeds. These are perfect for placing between the blocks and will not need to be watered. They don't smell the best straight out of the package but since I'm using mine outside it doesn't bother me. Looks natural for what I needed it for and so far seems pretty durable. I plan on ordering more to complete my project. ... show more
