I really wanted this product to work. It looked capable via the pics, but….. The only benefit from this product is using it as a wood-holder, making it easier to hammer my hand-mall into the oak wood. Perhaps this product would have a better outcome with soft pine that’s been seasoned for a couple years. Also, after every 5 hammer strikes, the bolts that attach the top ring to the frame keep coming loose. I could have used a sealant on the attachment points, but that would more than likely prevent a return of this product. As I said, a good wood-holder, but not a splitter. Not even on a good day.
