This is a pretty good rack, seems sturdy, well mounted. I did read reviews mentioning that installation was a challenge. Well, I like a challenge, and I’m pretty good at building things. Challenge accepted! This was almost more than I could take though. Instructions are very unclear. Lots of figuring out. Lots of tiny screws in hard to reach places. Lots of adjustments and doing things over. Lots of trying to figure out what they’re talking about. You can’t really use your own tools either, because they just don’t fit in the spaces. I would have given up multiple times and just sent it back, except I would have had to UNdo all the parts I had just struggled to do to get this far. It was going to be awful going either direction, might as well end up with an actual bike rack for my struggles. Now that it’s done it’s good. No complaints. Haven’t really tested it weight-wise, but it seems sturdy enough. Looks good enough. The decision maker on this purchase I guess should be, what’s your frustration tolerance? It said holds up up to 110lbs( not yet tried). Instalation was easy, instruction is clear (but I don't need one ha8) all the hardwares are there,even extra extra( 3pack of them so it is alot!) My problem was I don't have screws to attached the bottom leg onto my ebike, so I used another kind of screw, the one that comes with it just too big, but all worked out so far (if I don't have any screws to mount the bottom leg I would return it,because no use if it not installed properly) See my pictures for detailed built of the product so far I felt satisfied, will send another reviews as a follow up after my daughter 55lbs sits on it and ride with me. (That was the reason I bought this rack) And easy return policy from Amazon just another thing that appeal to me. ... show more

It is solid and well built. The QR release is a tad bit finicky the get tight. I wish the rubber inserts would have an adhesive backing so you don't need three hands to line everything up when assembling. Comes with the tools to assemble which is pretty handy. Also has an abundance of hardware to get the job done. Totally modular and will fit many bikes. I did find one that it would not fit on. This bike had thin chain stays. So instead of using the clamps. I just used the holes in the dropouts for a paneer rack. But the support rods were barely long enough for that. If the bike was not a small frame they would not have worked. So if you have tiny chain stays you may have an issue mounting this. ... show more

I was fairly disappointed with this bike rack. I bought it to hold a battery for my e-bike which was around 10lbs. It started out okay after the complicated install, but after only a couple weeks, the welds on the rack started to come apart and it became very rattly and squeaky. It got to a point where I wasn’t even comfortable using it anymore and ended up throwing it away and buying one that mounted to my bike frame. ... show more
