i got this as a gift to my 10-year-old since she just loves Lego sets i thought this one would be super cute for her to put in her room as decoration when it's done! the size of everything is a little smaller than i was thinking it would be which isn't a problem though. its looking really pretty I've always really like cherry blossom trees they are so beautiful. this set has taken my daughter a few days so far and she's only about half done. so, if you're wanting a little project to keep maybe your teen or yourself busy for a little bit, I'd suggest getting some of these kits. definitely a small challenge for her but seems to keep her interested in getting it done still can't wait to see the finished product!

I couldn't believe how small the pieces are in this. I am going to try it anyway, i like a challenge but I'll have to use tweezers. Slightly misleading, I would definitely not recommend for children. Update: still working on it but it is really fun and nice looking!

I am having an absolute blast working on building this set. I am still in process but I am enjoying every minute. The instructions so far are absolutely clear -- as best you can with these types of sets -- so it is going well. Yes, these are exactly as they stated -- they are micro blocks so don't expect them to be the same size as the more popular building sets. These are about half the size of the other sets. This does take someone with smaller hands to handle -- my husband with giant hands could not even help. This meant I had it all to myself -- which I was tickled. There are a ton of tiny, tiny pieces and it takes a ton of patience on those -- which is why I am still in process. This is one of those projects that you can just engulf yourself in and enjoy. I think even a young girl could enjoy it -- but she will have to be a very focused girl. But it is totally worth it. I will probably look at some of their other sets and try them out as well.

I can confirm with another review that the piece size would make it difficult for most children. That being said, the listing does say mini, and the measurements of the resulting tree appear to be accurate. I'm not done with the piece yet, so I can't say the measurements are 100% accurate, but it does appear to be relatively that size. It's already beautiful despite not being complete so I'm a big fan of it.
