  • BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK! JUST BUY IT!
Style: US
I was so excited to try this and and WOW ITS AMAZING!! The display quality is truly incredible and brightness is excellent. It has a nice frame technology where it transitions super smooth refresh rate and it beats any of my 4K tv’s!! I paired it with the 123” Akia CLR4 screens and it honestly looks like an OLED quality. Everything from shows to movies to the Super Bowl I was very impressed with. We have it a foot away from the wall on a low profile table and it’s perfect for the basement, very quiet you only hear it if you have the tv on mute but even then it’s like a light laptop fan sound, and the built in speakers are actually very impressive. It starts up within 10 seconds or so which is super quick and the software is very nice. Even came with the smart dongle for free to use Netflix with and all or you can take it on the go for another device! There’s just too many good things to say about this product, for $1999 you can’t find a better deal and bang for the buck. I wouldn’t suggest spending more than that until the prices of these short throw projectors come down. I am sure this will last MANY years. I love it!! It’s so easy to setup… just one cord and that’s it! It also looks very professional and kind of like a MacBook, it’s got a solid built to it with enough ventilation and it’s never even gotten warm after many hours of using it. Love it! I was very skeptical at first but after I researched for weeks in depth this was the best one of the price! It went down from $2499 to $1999 and they even honored a credit because of price change within 30 days and it has a 2 year warranty which is great! ... show more

  • Great projector
Style: US
Upgraded from a 1080p Acer projector and the difference was well worth it. Speaker is loud and high quality. Paired with a fixed frame screen and couldn't be happier. Setting the image on the screen is difficult but once you have the right height table or stand you'll be set.

  • Great Picture and Sound
Style: US
Bought this UST to replace a Benq ST projector that was getting pretty old. I first bought a JMGO01 and I really wanted to like that projector due to the price, form factor and sound, but the picture was really dim looking and after a couple of weeks, I sent it back. The Hookup on YouTube did a head to head review of USTs and compared them to other projectors in the same price range. The XGIMI Aura and the NexiGo Aurora PJ90 came out looking good for the price range, with the XGIMI rated a little higher but the Hookup's recommendation was for the Nexigo as it's price was a little cheaper. Price as tested was XGIMI $2,500 and Nexigo $2,100. When I bought though the XGIMI had come down in price to be at about the same price point as the Nexigo so I chose XGIMI. Two things I don't like about the XGIMI: 1. It is big, 23.8 x 15.7 x 5.4 inches vs. Nexigo's 17.76 x 13.05 x 3.92 inches. 2. It's heavy at 40.8 lbs vs. Nexigo's 22 lbs. The picture is beautiful, even in a dimly lit room. I have it projecting on a textured gray wall that is a little wavy. While watching a movie or something, I don't notice it at all, probably because I am transfixed looking at closeups of the actors and the pores in their skin. I do notice the waves when I am at the Home Screen. Speaking of screens, if I invested in a good projection screen, the waves and the bumps would go away but they would have to get a lot worse for me to do that. ... show more

  • Great Overall Projector, but Would Have Saved Up for 3500 Lumen
Style: US
We purchased this projector on Amazon Prime Day to replace our Epson 3500 lumen projector that was not 4K. If I had it to do over again, I would have saved my money and waited another year or two to pick up a 4K 3500 lumen projector. We can barely watch this projector unless the lights are out in the entire downstairs area and the curtains are drawn. This is more for a home theater. Our Epson had a bright enough picture that you could have ever light in the house on and still see it. Overall, this is a really nice projector for the price, but you really need to consider what you plan to use it for. It would be great for a den with low lighting or a home theater room, otherwise, you might want to look at other options. The other great thing about this projector is the sound, you can actually enjoy the sound without your home surround sound set up. That is a huge bonus for this projector. ... show more

  • As much as I wanted to love this product, I just couldn't
Style: US
As the title says, I really wanted to love this product. And when it works well, it looks and plays great! But when it doesn't, it is extremely annoying and impossible to fix on your own. A bit of detail: Picture: Fantastic. Looks amazing when it is in a dark room. The contrast ratio is poor, so when you have ambient light, dark scenes are near impossible to see. Even with no ambient light, extremely dark scenes can be a little tough, but otherwise it's great. Colors pop, the resolution is amazing. It looks like the theater. Sound: I use a Sonos, system, but when it pops over to the unit (one of the aforementioned errors) it sounds pretty good. Connectivity: Lacking. This is where my main issue lies. And to be fair, I don't know if it just an incompatibility with Sonos and/or apple TV (even if it is, those are not small oversights on XGIMI's end), but about every 5th time I start up my system and switch over to my HDMI-connected Apple TV, the screen will flicker back and forth between the "HDMI3" screen and the picture displayed on the Apple TV. Simultaneously, my HDMI-connected Sonos system will appear to connect then disconnect repeatedly. I have tried multiple ports with multiple cables, but have had this issue on every single replacement unit they have sent me (Also to be fair, XGIMI's customer service was out-of-this-world responsive and helpful. Kudos to them). The only remedy is to restart the machine, which then involves a couple minutes and multiple controllers. It's not the end of the world, but for a $2500 machine, I would expect better. 3 star experience. ... show more

  • I underestimated this
Style: US
I didn't think it'd be so great. I ordered it with the thought of needing a soundbar and surround sound system to make it sound good, but man this thing is loud and crisp. No distortion at high volumes, and the bass is very solid. Don't think I'll be going back to TVs anytime soon.
