This is one of those products that you never knew how much you needed it until you got some. I have done quite a bit of woodworking over the years. I never really thought I had that much of a use for this type of item before. Just managed to get along. Just never felt that this kind of tape could hold up. I had some routing to do using some templates and need to secure the template to the wood without clamps and other means that would mar the surface. This stuff really holds. Especially on horizontal pressure as in holding templates to wood for routing. It does not let anything move, slide or twist around. It can take a sturdy pull to get pieces apart, but it does come apart without issue. There may be just a smidgeon of residue left, but not enough to cause any issues or concerns. Since then, I have found so many uses for it. I attach sandpaper to blocks of wood to make quick sanding blocks. Odds things around the house. Keeps wall pictures from hanging crooked. Even put it on the back of an electrical box I had to secure to the back of a sink cabinet to keep it from moving around while I screwed it in place. Well worth it.

I use this to stick templates to pieces when template routing and to drawers when placing on the false fronts. Works perfectly for templates, but the adhesive strength isn't always the best when mounting drawer fronts. I've unfortunately have had drawer fronts fall off when trying to install them, which as I'm sure you know is a headache if it causes damage. It primarily happens to heavier woods like White Oak. To solve for this, I just a little more tape to the center. I would absolutely purchase this more as when I'm template routing, it doesn't destroy the templates when pulling off the template or the tape.

I was a bit skeptical about this tape. I expected it to leave a residue of goo behind on my project, or it would be kind of weak and flimsy, etc. But really, it works great - leaves no residue at all on my oak stock, the woven fabric substrate means it's good and strong and also, it's easy to apply and take off. 5 stars. Highly recommended.
