I needed an airbrush for fine detail motorcycle painting. I ordered this one and then I read the reviews, I know I should have read it first, I'm glad I didn't, Because I wouldn't have ordered it. After reading the reviews I tried to cancel it, But it was too late. No one said anything about it being used for auto paint or anything else except water based paint. Or to paint Cake's, I thought, oh hell no, I'm 65 years old and never heard of anyone painting a cake, I received it in like 3 days. I sprayed water through it as it says to see if it works properly, And it did, Then I tried it with water based paint and it worked great, I adjusted it for different patterns, And did everything I used to do when I was painting motorcycles like 20 years ago, I took it apart to clean it, And to see what was inside, To My surprise It is metal, Not plastic like I thought it would be, When I first held it, I already knew it had to be well built. It has some weight to it Then after I took it apart, I knew I had a good airbrush, So if you're looking for a good airbrush, This is one of the best you can get for the price, Actually I would say, for the price it's great, I've painted car's, Trucks, motorcycles and just about anything else you can think of, for over 30 years, I would have loved to have had one like this back in the day. I had NO problem with this airbrush pushing OIL, solvent base paints-- you just need to make SURE you use mineral spirits to thin your oil/solvent based paint! I used the .3 nozzle and it had NO PROBLEM for at least 2 hours straight of atomizing OIL / SOLVENT based paint! the . 5 nozzle would have most likely more capable but the .3 nozzle worked well the whole time!! I also used a oil/solvent based PRIMER and had NO PROBLEM spraying that for no less than 2 hours! Cleaning was easy, if you do the RIGHT THING and use mineral spirits and all other procedures for normal cleaning of OIL / SOLVENT based paints! Negatives for this airbrush; FAR TOO MANY-- parts - I have no idea why they thought in necessary to have some parts--- I have other trigger airbrushes and the design is MIUCH more SIMPLE and this just seemed unnecessary! The NEEDLES are not up to decent quality-- you SHOULD use FITCH metal polish and rub it on the needles--- it helps A LOT! So quality of needle is not that good! But this airbrush still works!! The bigger issue-- it IS MARKETED as a "dual ACTION" airbrush----it IS NOT--AT ALL!! I have only used it a few times and it is still working , long term who knows?? I do have a SERIOUS problem of marketing this as a "dual action airbrush" I still DO recommend this as a basic airbrush and its nice there are the --.3 and .5 needles-- they BOTH WORKED! Cleaning did not seem harder than my other basic airbrushes! ... show more

I spray a lot of acrylic primer and it gums up my Iwata airbrushes like crazy. I end up cleaning them 2 -3 times per session. I was thinking I would try this one since it offered a larger needle size. Here's the review - the 0.8mm nozzle on this airbrush for me would significantly decrease the air output. I don't know why. I assume it's a gasket but everything appeared to be installed right and I was getting like 50% of the total airflow. It painted, but slowly and with no clogs. I swapped back to the 0.5mm needle and it painted great. Full power, no clogs yet after hours of spraying. As others say, it's not dual action. The trigger is actually pretty comfortable, and it's ability to pray large amounts of paint is going to have me order another one. ... show more

Being a modeler I have several airbrushes. Most have nozzles that are 0.5mm diameter or less. While I can spray primer with a 0.5 mm I wanted an 0.88 mm to lay a little thicker an wetter coat to get that smooth finish. I also wanted an airbrush that I could try spraying a 0.004 micro flake through. I didn't want to spend a lot of money in case the meraiflake gummed up the brush and it headed for the trash. Finally, it had to be a pistol grip (personal preference). This airbrush is a pleasant surprise. For the price you get a package that includes the brush, 3 nozzle/needle sets (0.3, 0.5 and 0.8 mm), an air hose and more. Be Nozzle changes are extremely guick and easy with self centering nozzles that just drop into the tip. Needles are appear to be good quality. The one quality issue is the plastic tail. The threads feel like they are interfering with the body but there is no signs of wear yet.. I make sure not to over tighten. Functionality the brush works welll. Full disclosure, I have only sprayed with the 0.8 nozzle. I can not speak to the 0.3 or 0.5. As far as what I wanted the airbrush lays down a decent primer coat and Mo of lake will pass through the nozzle. I just have to keep working to get everything correct for flake. Works great but don't clean the plastic handle with acetone, it will fall apart. After I destroyed the first one I immediately bought a replacement.it works that well for me.

I ordered the trigger style air brush to try it out. I received it in a timely matter and opened it up to find that it had so many extra hoppers and 3 needle sets. I was shocked on the quality when I hooked it up and started using it. I’m totally impressed with this airbrush.
