Working with standard model kits and 3D printing, both resin and FDM, I've been trying to find a solid solution for airbrush paints for some time now. I have tried nearly every big-name brand out there, and even some lesser known, to find some consistency. The "V" brand is hit or miss, usually causing splattering and clogging of even the largest needles in my airbrushes; even thinned out, only the Badge would handle this brand solidly, and even then...it would struggle. Army Painter had this set go on sale for Black Friday and I decided to pull the trigger. And I should have done this a LOT earlier. From the start, every single dropper worked flawlessly in every brush I have...the Iwata...the Badger...the H&S...even my low-priced Nedeco models. NONE of them struggled with these at all. Without thinning, they worked. They simply worked. Now, when I move to the metal colors, I DO add a touch of thinner/medium just to ensure even coverage...and because of my issues with the "V" paints previously. But even without...they spray beautifully. These are, without a doubt, the easiest and smoothest paints I have worked with and I can't be happier. I've gone to buy additional bottles for those colors I use a lot of, as well as their brushes and "game" paints for traditional brushing (even though the Air Paints work pretty well with traditional brushing). AWESOME paints and I am now pretty much just burning through the other brands I have or outright giving them away just to free space for more of these. Thank you Army Painter! ... show more

I really love the army painter paints;. They never let me down. they also don't rob me for my hard earned money. I did alot of research before I bought this air set. I priced out every AIR paint system on the planet. even non miniature paint. and the price to paint can't be beat. Also I really love the color triad system, It's not something I thought I'd use, but I find my self picking triads to airbrush. bleding the 3 colors together really helps with my highlighting. I've even used some of the paint with a brush to do edge highlighting. Also the fact the bottles contain the bearings to help mix. Not taking on the extra cost of buying 200+ ball bearings was a nice savings. It's thinned right, but still you can thin it a bit more. It's not like war paints where literally i gotta do a 1:1 mix with water or thinner, more like 4:1 paint to thinner. ... show more

These go on nice and smooth. I only add a single drop of Army Painter Airbrush Medium to every 10-15 drops of paint, that isn’t even always needed. Nice colors and range. Love the triad of Base, Mid, High colors.
