Add washers.
Color: Black satin
If you decide to purchase this product , it’s important to know that it would be a good idea to add a washer between your rim and the gruv Styx . Don’t let it touch the rim because it will not fit too well.

Sounds great! Sounds great!
Color: Black satin
I use this all the time playing Latin, Brazilian, West African, etc. music. It has nice tonality and cuts. It's another "color" drummers and percussionists can alternate with between bells, rims, cymbals, etc. I have 2 of these. They come in a variety of woods and colors. Good value for the money.

Love the sound I got black bc it looks better.
Color: Black satin
I was skeptical about buying this product not sure if it was going to sound like they sounded in the videos. I was wrong the sound really produces out nice and crisp. I purchased two more for my other two snare drums.

Good product, not for me
Color: Black satin
It’s a great product but just not for me, it’s no that I don’t need it, I use black hole mesh head covers so it doesn’t work. But it has a nice sound when I tried it for a good price and perfect size for most drums.

A Quality made product
Color: Black satin
I appreciate the easy mounting brackets. And you can still tune the head with no problems.

Disappointed...
Color: Black satin
I really thought it would have made a difference but it just didn't... my stick on the rim was louder and had a fuller sound than the gruv click
