    • A true cocktail shaker
This is a fairly heavy gage stainless steel shaker. This is not one of those frustrating cobbler shakers with a built-in strainer. This is a professional style shaker and will require a bit of practice to master - but after a few cocktails, you will have it down. Just remember the ice in the shaker is expected to both dilute and chill the cocktail so it will get cold! When you feel it getting ice cold after 20-30 seconds note that there is now a partial vacuum formed in the shaker. To release the two parts, tap or slap the top (large) cup and it will release. The included Hawthorne strainer will fit the smaller cup and you can strain the cocktail into your serving glass. The included Japanese style jigger is 2 ounces on one end with internal marks for 1.5 ounces and 1 ounce on the other with internal marking for 3/4 and 1/2 ounce. This is a pretty high quality jigger and should last for a long time. I found the stir stick to be the weak point. One end is designed to be a muddler and the other end is a traditional spoon. I found the muddler end interfered with my grip and the overall balance. I feel that a true muddler would have been a better addition. This is a nice complete Boston shaker set, however, the steel is just a little light on the shaker itself and it doesn't feel "substantial". Otherwise a nice set that will be useful.

comes with everything you need to get started with mixing cocktails. seems very well made of durable stainless steel and looks nice. the included jigger is nice and convenient with multiple measurements on it. the bar spoon is nice and long enough for using with the included two shakers. the strainer attachment is nice too. this really does include everything you need. ... show more

I recently picked up a backpack for taking your drinking game with you to parties. Unfortunately, it didn’t include any of the tools of the trade. This set that includes the essentials was a perfect choice. I am not a fan of the shakers/mixers with a gasket type decorative top. The pressure fit shakers are much more my style. This one is a great combo and can be used together as shown, or with glassware. You can either use a break pour as shown in the pictures or use the included strainer, it is all up to you. The included spoon is well designed and balanced and if you want to do some of the trendy tricks with it, it is happy to oblige. The measure is well marked inside and out, including with a 3/4 oz line which is nice when trying to mix different ratios without making a huge drink. It is a great set and on the short test drive I took it on made a lovely frothy start to the day of OJ and Vodka. No leaks, chilled down fast, popped open on cue and poured perfectly.     • GREAT cocktail mixing set
This set has pretty much anything you may need (except the booze LOL) to make cocktails at home. We had been using a classic cocktail shaker, but I find it difficult to get the lids off, so I wanted to try this Boston style shaker. It’s awesome. It took a little getting used to, and you definitely have to have a good grip on it while shaking, but once I got the hang of it, it worked great. The strainer works really well, and it’s nice to have a small muller on the opposite side of the stir spoon too. Although, I prefer to use my classic muller unless I’m just bruising leaves (like mint) or something like that. The jigger is accurate, and I like having the measurement markings on the inside as opposed to having to guess if you need alternative measurements.
