It doesn’t sound right. It doesn’t hold its tune well. The wax was very dry. One string broke too easy because the peg wasn’t put on properly either. I’m not all that disappointed, seeing as how it was super cheap. I just want people to know what they’re going to receive, so that I might help prevent any disappointment from the dissatisfaction that will most likely occur. ... show more

The violin is nice you will need to view youtube tutorials of course before beginning... sounds perfect only complaint is the bridge wasn’t set and this does not come with extra strings so be careful adjusting so you dont break them!

This seemed like a solid starter violin. It's not. It's difficult to tune and won't hold it once you get there. It's scratchy, and almost impossible to isolate the strings while playing. If this kid practices with it for a few weeks, I'll upgrade to a true student violin. The bow is too bent, so you're sawing on strings with wood. The rosin should come with sandpaper so you get a good powder. It'll be fun to set on fire. ... show more

If I could give this a zero star, I would! I purchased this starter violin for my fourth grade son who just started music class. When I opened and examine the strings, they were too loose. I gently tried to tight men them. Before I know what had happened, one of the strings snapped and broke. I am not even going to bother returning it because of the shipping fees!
