The zipper covers almost the 3/4 of the bag - from strap-to-strap, passing through the bottom of the purse to allow for a bigger bottom and more room inside! I love this purse. Love the look, the color, the size. The smell on the other hand is really really terrible. It smells like someone stuffed it with week old fish and then left it in the sun for an extended period of time. I doused it in Febreze and I really hope that takes care of it, cuz if not the smell makes it completely unusable. Edit: Febreze did nothing. Baking powder did nothing. Vinegar & water did nothing. Still smells like old fish! ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised by this purse when it arrived. It is small and compact. However it has a zipper on the side that allows it to expand for extra room. I would definitely buy it again.
