I love this bag! It's the perfect size and fits my oversized wallet, a book, and my retractable cane plus all the other small essentials someone might need. I love that there's a zipper on the bottom that allows you to expand it for more space which is what I had to do to fit everything I need. The texture of it feels nice and durable so far which is good bevause it's heavy with everything I have in it. It does have an odor like most new things do but It doesn't really bother me. This is my favorite bag that I have bought by far over the years. It has ample room for everything I need to carry. As you can see from the photos, there is a roomy inside main compartment and also on the inside are two open pockets on one side and a zippered, reasonably large pocket on the other. There is a zippered extender that runs along the outside of the bag that increases the main compartment. In my opinion it doesn't take away at all from the purse's look. I have already been asked if it is real leather a few times. The pebbled texture really makes it look like real leather. I really enjoy this bag in the dark brown color and the size is great as I am only 5' tall. Highly recommend! ... show more

This is nice bag, the leather feels real and it’s got a decent weight to it. I dropped 2 stars because I actually thought it would be bigger. I read the measurements but something doesn’t compute. I also dropped stars because when it’s on the shoulder theres no room between your armpit and the top of the bag. The longer strap intended for cross body just doesn’t go with this purse ( in my opinion) . For these reasons I’m returning but it is a nice bag. If you’re a big purse lady this is not going to fulfill your needs . Again this is just my opinion. All in all the color black is nice and dark, the style is ok, and the smell is familiar but I known would go away after a few days . I guess for this purse $25 makes sense . ... show more

I was skeptical about the quality because I have had too many non-leather purses that just get scratched up and torn so fast. We traveled cross country with this purse. It was tossed around, shoved under things, all kinds of times that my other purses would have scraped but this one did not. It still looks new and it is so soft. I will likely purchase another purse from Montana West, as this is the 2nd one that I own that has withstood some heavy use. Plus I love the zipper top and zipper pockets. It also has a bottom zipper to expand if you need more room. I usually leave it open as I do not travel light. Strap is adjustable.
