The sherpa lining felt warm and comfortable, and the overall quality was good for the price. The plaid pattern looked just like the photos, and it worked well as a lightweight jacket for cooler weather. It was comfortable to wear and looked nice on him. Pros: 1. This is a really nice warm flannel shirt jacket. 2. Colors are vibrant and as pictured for the red buffalo plaid. 3. The faux Sherpa lining is soft and cozy Cons: 1. Based on size chart verses fit, this shirt runs very large. Assuming because it's labeled a "jacket" but even so, my husband's old med. shirts are large on me but I figured medium on this jacket for me to fit over layers of other clothes. Even with a turtleneck shirt under it, it hung off me like the skin of a Shar-Pei (huge.) It fits my husband who now wears XL in flannel and tee shirts so we're keeping it :) 2. the outside flannel is not as soft as I'd hoped. Flannel shirts used to be thick and super soft. The ones I've tried recently just feel like a regular cotton weave. I'm ordering a small for myself because I love the warmth and the colors match the flannel shirts my family wears at Christmas for family photos. ... show more

Quick background, I'm a gal, 5'9" about 165 lbs. I have broad shoulders and big chest. Women's clothing over the years has gotten smaller for some reason and I almost need a 2x to have tops fit me, then they don't fit right in all places. I'll pick up men's tshirts and tops like these a lot (note, they're usually cheaper too compared to womens) and usually can go with a large, occasionally an XL depending on the brand/material. I don't like snug fitting tops, I like to have room to move around. I went with an XL for this shirt/jacket to be on the safe side and in case of any shrinkage when it gets washed/dried. Could've gotten away with a L. It's like a dress on me lol. XL covers well below my butt. But it's roomy, it's warm, and I don't care. It's thicker and soft inside. Only complaint, no idea why these companies don't make the "sherpa" or fleece lining in the sleeves?? The sleeves are lined with just a basic thicker polyester type material. It's warm still, but seeing as I'm usually wearing a short sleeve tshirt underneath, it'd be nice to feel the fleece on my arms. I'm thinking it's too difficult to include the fleece in that part? Or to save money? No clue. They all do it though, and it's disappointing. But I saw that on other reviews, so knew it going in. Very happy with this jacket though.     • Warmer Than Most Shirt-Jackets, Runs Large

This is a nice jacket. It’s heavier than what I was looking for, but I’ve put it to good use for yardwork, car repair, even walks. Apparently, this is not intended to be a traditional shirt-jacket, which serves as an outer layer, but can still be tucked in if it’s the only layer over a t-shirt. Pros: It’s warm! The faux-fleece lining covers the torso, not the sleeves, which is good. The sleeves have a quilted lining. I would prefer no lining at all in the sleeves, but at least I know this is warm. Feels nice and soft. Has two button pockets in the upper chest in the normal position. AND has two “hand warmer” pockets in the waist position. These were unexpected, and are a great addition! I bought the “birch” color, and it is conservative and attractive. Autumn leaves don’t stick to it as badly as to my other three shirt-jackets. They still stick a little, but not bad. When dirty, I just run it through normal washing machine and dryer, works fine. Cons: The collar is mighty thin and narrow for a jacket this warm. Needs a thicker, wider collar. Unless you have an underlayer which covers your neck, you will need a scarf or bandana to cover your neck. Likewise, the cuffs are thin, almost like they were an afterthought. Runs large. This is not a shirt-jacket. You can’t tuck it in to your jeans when wearing just a t-shirt. Overall: All in all, a good jacket. These run large, so order one size smaller. ... show more

Warm. Soft. Comfortable to wear. At 6'3", 175'ish, and long arms. Sleeve length can be a problem. Wrangler got it right with this shirt jacket. Good for around the house and even outside on those "cooler" days. I pair this with a warm pullover sweatshirt and your good for the colder days. The walk out to the neighbors, mailbox, your vevicle. Has the usual button flap chest pockets x2. The slanted opening waist pockets are a bonus. I may have to buy a second one to substitute while this one is in the wash. Overall quality seems good. Just received my second one in a different color!!! They’re great!!! This short jac is just fantastic. A bit on the larger side but that’s what ya want with a work shirt — has just enough extra space — a relaxed fit, allowing for desirable arm movement Quilted lining in sleeves = EZ on/off. The Sherpa lining is a nice cozy comfy & warm lining. Jacket is very light & very warm. Great for working around yard outside. Was warm even in low 30’s while I ran out to walk the dog. Exceeded my expectations quality wise. Perfect for fall/light winter days. Runs big as most reviews stated. I took that into consideration, as you should too I ordered a medium but normally wear large. The jacket fit perfectly. You will still have some length leftover on the bottom. About pinky size. No movement restrictions around the collar, shoulders, underarms, torso, elbows, or wrists when going down a size.
