The quality of the stitching is top-notch. The outer material is soft flannel, as expected. There is an inner quilted, stitched liner to cut out the bitter chill. The hood is a plus to protect the ears and neck from the cold and dampness. The hood is not cumbersome if you don't want to wear it. It's sewn onto the jacket, so if you toss it off your head, it doesn't obstruct your view. It is really two jackets in one: One for outdoors to be worn over a shirt or sweater on chilly days, and one for wearing in the house with only a tee shirt. Saving on the heating bill? This jacket keeps you warm, but not overly hot. It has the right amount of insulation to keep you comfortable. Plus, it just feels good when wearing it. I bought one for myself. Then when I had a friend's birthday coming up, I bought one for him. It seems as if he's always wearing it whenever he's not dressed up for work. The buttons are durable and securely fastened. There are no frayed threads along the seams. It's a quality product. I figured the size of the jacket by using the Size Chart. My friend's shirt size has a 17-1/2" neck circumference. According to the chart, a 17-1/2" neck would be an XL (extra large). The Extra Large fit him perfectly. I recommend this jacket without reservation.

I like the fit and feel of this a lot. It's very lightweight, a decent looking jacket and should be good for the billions of 50 degree days we have here in the winter. Not wild about the buttons - I prefer a zip-up - but I'm going to see if I can live with the buttons.

Liked the flannel but the pockets are way to small My keys were hanging out the side pocket and almost lost the all important I phone. Gonna have to have my friend sew in bigger pockets. Deeper is actually what I meant! But a really nice flannel all in all.
