I really enjoy the Boston shaker design over other types of cocktail shakers. I typically use one with glass, but have been looking into other options recently. I'd read that this all metal shaker is more commonly used by professionals now, and I observed several bars using the all metal shakers. I figured it was worth a shot. The shaker works as expected. It functions the same way the glass/metal combo does, though the cup is a little smaller than the glass. The unit can get pretty cold, but that is true for all the shakers I've used. It formed a great seal and was pretty easy to unseal after shaking. It was also nice to have the peace of mind that it wouldn't potentially shatter if I needed to hit it to unseal it. My only thought would be to add some sort of marker or distinguishing component to the smaller cup. If they get stacked, with the smaller inside the larger cup, it is nearly impossible to see that there is more than one cup. I thought I'd lost it once, and it was simply sitting inside the larger cup. Now I just assume it's there if I can't see it, and it comes out easily enough. I'm pretty happy with this shaker, and have made some great cocktails already. I'm going to be picking up a few more so I can start making drinks for more guests. ... show more

I'm a bartender and have a myriad of shakers. They are not all created equal. They can be too light, to thin, to stiff, etc. Finding the right set balances that weight that you want, the right thickness of the shaker to be able to pop it open without a struggle but still be a nice tight seal. This is definitely a great set. As soon as I opened it and held it in my hands I knew that it was a quality set. I quickly made a Texas staple drink a margarita and confirmed it was a good set. It's sized perfectly, created a good seal. I'm able to grip and shake with one hand. I can tell the temp of the drink perfectly as the shakers chills from my shaking. Very easy to clean as well. This stainless steel set is nice and lightweight. When put together and shaking a drink there is no leakage as the two halves fit together perfectly. The stainless steel cleans up easily and is a good quality steel that should hold up for years. Excellent set for the home bar.

This is a great shaker. The thicker dual layer bottoms add mass and makes for smashing ice and getting those cocktails nice and cold. I love that Boston shakers nest so they store easy too. On the fit and finish front these are well made with a good finish nice and smooth/reflective polish without any swirl marks. For the price this is a great addition to any bar. ... show more

With 40 years in the bar business (yes, I'm an old man), I've used my share of shakers. Normally I use a pint glass for the "insert" portion, but no difference using a stainless insert. Good solid feel and can't tell the difference between this one and my other "pro" ones, except maybe weighted slightly lighter in the bottom, but not where you can really tell. This WORTOR weighted shaker set is good for the home bar or your first shaker set. I have another weighted set and both tins are heavier than the WORTOR set. Not sure which set I like better but the heavier tins do seem steadier on the counter. You will be very happy with this set.

Selected this to use on my small home bar. They are great quality and easy to use. The only negative is that they do slid a bit as you shake and you do have to be careful that they drink does not come out. They do clean easily and dry nicely as they are silver so you don't see water marks. The size of the cups are perfect so they store in each other and slide out nicely, they don't get stuck. This product is a great value and lives up 100% to the description and details. With a past in bartending I have used professional grade shakers like this before and already own one I purchased from the local restaurant supply. I usually use a pint glass as the top for the shaker I have, so I was excited to see how this one would work with the smaller companion tin. I also do not like shakers with the two piece top where you poor through the cap, they always seem to leak or get stuck together. I do own the appropriate strainer to pour drinks out of a shaker like this, which is something you might want to add when purchasing this. This shaker made some great gin martinis this week without loosing a drop of liquid. The materials are just like my other shaker in weight, thickness, and size. They nest perfectly and form a great seal. The stainless material is of a high quality and nicely polished. I would recommend this product to anyone! ... show more
