Very happy with these. The only very minor complaint I have is it would be nice if they would make it clearer whether your tightening or loosening the spring based on the direction you're turning the adjustment bolt. A simple "clockwise" for one and "counter clockwise" for the other would help. As it is, you can't really tell until you test it out. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Easy to install and very sturdy. I decided on this one because of the rubber wheel. It rolls easily over packed gravel.

There are aspects about this Gate Wheel that I like and some things that I like better on some of the others sold on Amazon. For starters I do think that the hardware is very stout for its intended application. The finish on it seems to be very durable to rust. I do like that the spring is built into the inside giving it some protection from the elements. I do like this better than some of the others; however, if I had to guess its also not painted/coated like the others. Additionally, it does not come with a grease fitting for the 360 degrease ball bearings. These ball bearings are not sealed as well, so eventually they will begin to rust, so you will need to do routine maintenance on it from time to time. The wheel is solid and rolls smooth. The spring is nice and stiff as well. It comes will all the tools necessary to install it and it is easy to install. At its full regular price it is definitely not worth it compared to some of the others out there, but on sale it is not a bad product. Overall, I am rather happy with it. ... show more

I got this spring loaded caster wheel for one of my pasture gates. It seems to handle the weight, but the tire is so small in width and diameter that the wheel sinks into the ground. I would recommend using this wheel for a gate that the wheel will roll only on concrete..
