This advanced taper jig offers instantly repeatable quarter-degree angle settings, material clamping, zero-clearance material support, and an extendable length capacity of up to 48". Precision Angle Setting with Repeatable Accuracy Setting the angle of the Woodpeckers Precision Taper Jig is incredibly easy. A scale with interlocking teeth allows you to set angles in precise quarter-degree increments from 0° to 7°. For larger angles, the secondary scale covers 0° to 15° in half-degree increments. The interlocking teeth ensure that your angle is perfectly repeatable every time, even if you need to change and realign it. Safe and Efficient Operation & Versatile for Various Project Sizes This jig is designed with safety and efficiency in mind. It features a sacrificial MDF sled on the bottom that eliminates worries about bottom-side tear-out. Quick-release clamps in the extrusion tracks make it easy to secure your workpiece, with a clamping range from 3" down to just 17/32". The clamping handles double as convenient gripping points for pushing the jig through your cuts. For wider stock, you have options. You can make a sacrificial sled the same size as your workpiece for full zero-clearance support, or remove the sled and use the jig directly on the table saw like a traditional taper jig. If your project requires more than the standard 32" capacity, the Precision Taper Jig can be extended to 48" with an optional extension kit. Best of all, the extension kit can be added at any time, making the jig adaptable to your future projects. The 32" capacity is perfect for chair legs, stool legs, and most tapered furniture elements. Extended 48" capacity handles even bar-top height table legs. Teeth engage to lock in angles with quarter-degree accuracy. Angles are instantly repeatable. The quick action clamps secure your stock in place, clamping down to a sacrificial sled. The clamps provide a convenient place to hold and push the jig. The sacrificial sled can be removed for wider projects. Woodpeckers was established in 1988.
