I'm not a big painter, but one of the kiddos in the house is, and he took to this like a fish to water. The materials are diverse, and offer a lot of room for creativity and experimentation. There are quite a few wooden boards, and I love the idea of being able to plan a string of them, designing them to hang together. You can tell stories, make a bit of a wind chime, etc. I haven't had a chance to see how the glow in the dark functions, but everything so far is quite nice. I would have liked to have seen a box which could contain all of the individual components, as when dealing with this target age group, as much organizational help that can be offered as possible is a good thing. I actually think this is vitally important, and for that reason I deducted one star. With materials already prone to being so potentially messy, clean-up and storage simply need to be addressed of the kit is to be functional for multiple uses, as it surely ought to be. I think it a simple fix for the manufacturer here, and hope they can make that change. All in all, I definitely recommend it. Just remember to organize the kids with proper precautions, so your kitchen doesn't turn into a paint war landscape. :)

This kit comes with a lot of parts, definitely not for younger kids unattended as there’s many small pieces. The box says recommended for age 6 and up but my almost 3 year old had a lot of fun while I supervised. There’s lots of cool very small crystals which would be fun for older kids who are more into design! The little squeeze tubes ran out of paint super fast so it definitely isn’t enough to use on all 22 wooden coasters but there’s other paints and things to use. Overall this is a nice rainy day activity and you can use other markers and stickers to decorate the coasters as well.

This was a big hit at our daughters party. There are a lot of decoration options and it's a great activity to keep the kids entertained. My daughter loved all the glitter and glow in the dark options. Not to mention, who doesn't love some googly eyes? Great set.

I ordered this for my daughter who loves to do anything arts & crafts, and she instantly had the box open and was decorating one of the wood slices. There are so many things to use in this box, and plenty of wood slices, that my daughter has spent a good amount of time using this set. She also brings it out when a friend is over, which keeps them occupied. The products are easy to use, sparks creativity & imagination, and there's a good variety. It would be nice to have it be an organizer, not just a box of stuff, for the price, but it's still a very giftable product.

My family had a lot of fun with this activity kit. It comes with everything you need and a lot of different decorating supplies to create unique paintings on the wood slices. There are plenty of wood pieces and it’s a fun, creative activity to do with the kiddos. I think it’s a good value for the price.

My students couldn't wait to get their hands on this craft kit when I opened it. There were plenty of supplies for each of my students to create 2 each. The diamond painting gems and glow-in-the-dark paint really added to their designs. I would highly recommend this woodcraft kit.
