I work at a sort center and know firsthand how violently items are transported. You can't ship wood without good insulation/padding. The four edges under the brown paper were heavily damaged. The rest of the wood was in good condition. To the seller, pad those corners! Overpriced, but good quality.

For the cost and the advertised use (cutting boards), I expected clear (no knots), square boards. That is not what I received. These were clearly recuts from scrap lumber - some filled and sanded - and not suitable for cutting board construction - and a few were not square and would have to be milled down or planed before use. Fairly nice wood, mostly straight, using it for cutting boards, so I can straighten when clamped and glued. Only issue is some are not true to size, and several are not 16" long, most are 15 7/8" or 15 3/4". So wont get a full 16" cutting board. If you have a flattening table or planer, then you should be good to make up the difference in thickness ... show more

I appreciate the quality of woodchucks boards. They are always straight enough that they will come out perfect after a glue up. Plan on planing afterwards if you don’t mill your boards up first. I usually don’t have to remove more than 1/4in in flattening.
