I received this board as a first surf board. My wife and I wanted to learn, and instead of renting each year, we decided to get our own and teach ourselves. Given that we live in Arizona, we don't have any surf shops in town and I searched Amazon for weeks to find the best "real" surf board. I say "real" because most on here are just foamies, not true fiberglass boards. The Nanazero LOG01 is a TRUE surf board! Fiberglass coating, real wood grain surface underneath, and a foam core making it extremely sturdy and light weight. It's 9'4", but not as wide as traditional longboards making it more maneuverable. Both my wife and I got up easily on this without prior experience and had a blast learning together! I would highly recommend this board for anyone looking for a true, quality surfboard that is actually shipped to your door.
