Obviously you get what you are paying for when it comes to sturdiness and quality but it’s better than other shelves I have purchased on here for the same price. One thing that I like better about these shelves is that they are made from actual wood instead of hollow particle board like other ones are. I think these are a great temporary cheap option but I wouldn’t use for long term. They do okay at holding the weight they say they do and I haven’t had any issues with that. ... show more

These shelves are beautiful. They were easy to install and came with all hardware. Definitely not made for super heavy items but perfect for smaller decor pieces. The price for these was great for the quality.

-The boards are hollow and very light weight, almost like balsa wood. Would not trust them for a row of hardback books or porcelain/ceramics. -No included instructions, but I found that installing the metal mounts with the thicker side down (not like in the pictures), resulted in a little less up/down play after installation. Just measure the distance between the holes when the mounts are in the board, make a template or mark on your ruler/yardstick/tape, mark your holes on the wall, and install your anchors. -Included drywall mounts are thicc (see picture), requiring a 5/16 drill bit to pave the way for install. I used thinner ones after the first round, and didn't notice a significant difference in stability. -The shelves look fine once installed, and would be fine for light duty display. -Received one extra screw and two extra drywall mounts, which was good since 2 of them folded in on themselves, even with the 5/16 pre-drill. ... show more

They look really good on the wall but definitely aren’t the best quality. One of the ones I got was bowed. They feel like they’ve been made of very brittle wood. More for aesthetic than utility.

It doesn’t come with instructions to install the floating shelves. If you have never installed floating shelves before this could be a minor setback for you. It doesn’t come with any measurements on drilling not even measuring stickers to ensure your shelves mounts are inline correctly. It was an unpleasant moment when I open the box to just see screws and drywall plugs in a box with the shelves themselves. When I opened the box it looked as if I took a box to Home Depot and walked the down aisle nine for screws and grabbed a handful and dropped them into my box. In my opinion it just didn’t look professional the shelves are all black and it look nice and once you get them mounted it looks really good. Some are still wobbly due to the fitting of the mount and the shelves but that could be overlooked especially when you have items on the shelves. That is all. ... show more

The boards are beautiful. The material is great. They are darker than the photo advertised. The installation was a pain. The anchors are huge and left large holes in my wall. It was easier once I switched to smaller anchors.
