I have a glass art piece that I needed to get a replacement light base. I checked locally and the only one available was ridiculously priced. Because my sculpture is heavy glass, about 10lbs, I was hesitant to purchase a base on-line. I am tremendously happy with my selection as it was wide and sturdy enough to accommodate my glass art. It has a built-in timer and brightness control. My glass art has a stunning display with this new light base. I’m glad I selected the wood base as it also adds to the arts decor. Since I just purchased the light base, I have no idea of its battery life, but for the price, I believe I got value for my purchase. I ordered the 4.7" across Yellow Wood Display Base to illuminate some crystals and an iridescent glass tube, and provide uplighting on my wall. It's working excellently. The Yellow Wood Display Base color is natural and beautiful. The 3 light modes are simple to use, and offer great choices for illumination. The 10-level dimming is very nice for adjusting the light brightness. The 24 hour auto-cycle timer is great for setting and then letting it come on and go off at the same time daily. It also has 3/9/12 hour timers. The cable cord is long, and the inline control switches work perfectly. This is a nice disk light has a nice flat surface making it great for adding some glow to items such as crystals. This light can be adjusted from cool, neutral, and warm lights which is nice depending on the location and type of crystal you want to display. The variety of brightness is also a nice touch to add ambiance to a display. I did notice that it got pretty hot pretty quickly, which I do not love. I would like to leave the light to turn off with the timer and not have to worry too much about it over heating, so it is better suited on a surface with ventilation. ... show more
