Yes the material is thin but there are advantages to that. (See pic) Very inexpensive but quality is good. I have a king bed so I bought a king size, a queen size and a full size. I have 3 layers as needed for winter or summer. My large dogs lay on it and make a furry mess but it’s easy to clean because I just have to wash the top quilt. Easy to fit in the washer machine. Love the length but should have paid more attention to the width dimension provided. Was hoping this could hide the under bed storage I am using. We were looking for a new bedspread/quilt after my handmade quilt disintegrated in spots over the last 30 years. We love the Carribean waters and my favorite color is purple, so this quilt in purples, taupes, and teals fits perfectly. The quilt is very soft and pliable, not stiff like some can be. It is thin enough for the humid heat here in the SouthEast but thick enough that we don't need to add another blanket on top during the cold weather. The size is perfect. I wanted a King quilt that hung over the sides of the bed and allowed us to make it up with the pillows under the quilt and this is the perfect size!
