🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Wonderfold W4 Luxe wagon garners high praise for its practicality, especially for families with multiple children. Described as a "diesel wonder wagon," it offers a comfortable ride with its soft rubber wheels that can maneuver on various terrains. It uniquely combines storage options, a 360-degree view for kids, and the ability to be used as a travel bed. However, its weight and bulkiness make it difficult to lift and take up significant space in vehicles, which potential buyers should consider.

Pros

  • 👶 Highly practical for families with multiple children providing ample space.
  • 🏞️ Versatile terrain maneuverability ranging from grass to city paths.
  • 👁️ Offers kids a 360-degree view, ideal for zoos and museums.
  • 🛍️ Exceptional storage capacity with numerous pockets and spaces.
  • 🛠️ Easy to assemble and folds away for more compact storage.
  • 🛒 Perfect for long days out, grocery shopping, and walks.

Cons

  • 🏋️‍♀️ Quite heavy, making it difficult to lift into cars and storage areas.
  • 🚗 May not fit in smaller vehicles and takes up substantial trunk space.
  • 🏖️ Struggles on beach sand, potentially straining the frame.
  • 💵 On the pricier side with accessories adding to the total cost.

Should I Buy It?

If you're a parent with multiple young children, value outdoor adventures, and need ample space, the Wonderfold W4 Luxe could be a worthy investment despite its weight and size. However, if you drive a smaller vehicle or require a lighter, more travel-friendly option, you may want to consider alternatives.

  • Our Favorite Wagon for Everyday Adventures
We’ve absolutely loved this wagon, and it has been one of our most-used baby gear purchases. Our toddler isn’t walking independently yet, and one of my favorite features is that she can safely hold onto the sides to pull herself up and stand while we’re stopped. It gives her a little independence while still feeling secure. The ride is smooth, it’s incredibly well-built, and there’s plenty of room for everything we need to bring along. Whether we’re going to the park, the zoo, or just taking a neighborhood walk, it makes outings so much easier. The only thing I wish was different is the folded size. While it does fold down, it’s still fairly bulky, and I wish it folded a little flatter so it was easier to toss into the trunk without taking up so much space. Overall, the quality, durability, and thoughtful design make this wagon well worth the investment. It has made getting out with our toddler so much easier, and I would absolutely recommend it to other parents. ... show more

  • W4 Wagon Review for three kids
This summer will be two years since we had our wonderfold W4 Luxe wagon. Honestly, we love it! What possessed me to buy this giant? Curiosity to see what the fuss is all about because as you probably hear Wonderfold is often called the diesel wonder wagon of the stroller wagons. I didn’t expect Wonderfold W4 to exceed my expectations, but honestly if you have multiple kids spending entire days outside Wonderfold is insanely practical! Obviously, not all aspects of it are amazing because you probably already know this stroller wagon is huge and heavy. I will say: the WonderFold Wagon is not for everyone. Let’s take a closer look at all pros and cons of Wonderfold wagon stroller and most importantly: whether there are cheaper or smaller alternatives to Wonderfold. What is the difference between Wonderfold W4 Elite and Luxe? Wonderfold sells three options of W4 – Original, Elite and Luxe. W4 Original: is the most basic wagon with raised seats. It might be attractive to get it as it’s the cheapest one, but the canopy doesn’t have an adjustable height and the parental bar isn’t adjustable either. Honestly, just for the lack of these two features, I’d go for an upgraded model. W4 Elite: a step up from the original one with an adjustable canopy, adjustable parental bar, reclining seats, and zippered panels. The only difference between W4 Elite and W4 Luxe: slightly larger wheels, leather handlebar and magnetic harnesses. Apart from the wheels, it’s honestly all gimmicks, so whether you want to pay an extra $200 for these features it’s up to you. I got the Luxe only because there was a sale on those models and there was no price difference. Wonderfold can drive everywhere. The soft rubber allows to for a comfortable ride compared to the hard plastic wheels on those standard pull wagons. It turns on grass, city streets, sidewalks, and it’s all easy to maneuver considering the size. Underlining considering the size, because let’s be real: it doesn’t maneuver as well as a single stroller or a twin double stroller. It’s not Wonderfold’s fault, it’s simply not possible. Does it drive on sand? Depends. It’s not easy, but it’s wasn’t unbearably hard – you will get there I will say. I think people complaining that their strollers or wagons don’t drive smoothly on sand need to get a perspective because not even all cars can get through the beach. The brake is easy to engage, but not something you’ll accidentally press when walking. It isn’t too easy to deactivate, but easily enough done with one foot. The canopy can be pulled from one side to another depending on the sun. It’s a small thing but extremely useful. It can be folded away and stored using fabric holders on the sides of the storage bit and a strap that buttons onto the side of the frame. Storage Wonderfold is built for storage! In a normal stroller, you only have a basket underneath, but various models require you to lose the basket when you put a second seat. There are pockets everywhere, two pouches on both sides that can fit my purse, an extra bag for a diaper bag, storage underneath the seats and pockets for kid’s cups and snacks. Do remember that while you might be able to store a giant cooler or bag underneath the seat it will limit the exits and you might have to lift your kids to help them exit. Seats The biggest pro of Wonderfold is that the whole thing gives the kids a 360 view and is tall enough for the kids to stand/sit and safely see those 4ft tall exhibits and fences at zoo, museums. It’s not possible to do in other wagons. The seats are attached via big strong clips to the top bar frame. They are good and comfortable and let the kids sit in their natural sitting position without being scrunched up. The seats can recline by pulling the clip further away (there’s no indication of where to lock the seats in to get them to recline, so you’re guessing. It is a tight fit for the kiddos. My twin daughters are now 20 months old and their big sister is 4 years old, and they’re very skinny and I still wish they had more arm space between them. Weight & Size How heavy is the Wonderfold wagon W4 Luxe? That’s the biggest drawback of W4 it’s extremely heavy. The videos of this product all show what look like real lifts of the wagon from pretty small moms, but it’s not happening. I can load this wagon up in our SUV myself, but you might need help with lifting. Does the Wonderfold W4 fit through doorways? It fits fine through most American doorways because it’s not wider than those double jogging strollers. Would it fit in Europe? Nope, nowhere. The biggest con is the size because it might not fit in every car. You need a very large SUV and even in cars like a popular family van Toyota Sienna is takes the whole truck and you’ll need to fold the bar. Wonderfold Wagon Stroller: Verdict Do I think it’s a great stroller wagon? Absolutely, I truly understand what the fuss is about. If you like to bring the whole house and food for 10 days like I see many parents like to do, this is the wagon for you! The width and length of this thing are the same sizes as one of those jogger strollers, so you won’t have to sacrifice anything by getting it. Is it too much for short escapades? I think so unless you’re a mom of 4 under 3, but honestly, you can still manage without it. For all-day events, it’s pretty handy, as long as you’re not heading to Disney World (they have a no wagon policy). Overall, I would highly recommend! ... show more

  • Wonderful wonderfold
Color: Noble Navy Style: Luxe
Wonderful wonderfold. Great for containing my 3 children (5months-4). The only negatives I'd say are having a heavy kid out at the front makes it difficult to steer and the wagon is heavy and difficult to load in my van. I love having it set up in the garage and ready to go. I like how tall it is to keep my kids away from unknown dogs. I love the height adjustable handle for pushing. I love putting my baby down for a nap in it like a playpen at the park. I like all the different pockets for storage. It's extremely sturdy and I always get compliments on it when out and about. It's easy to push and extremely functional for our family. ... show more

  • Worth the money
Color: Noble Navy Style: Luxe
We tried several other wagons before this, we really haven’t found anything comparable. This is well worth the money, has held up, have walked hundreds of miles so far. Durable, easy to push, adjustable handle for height differences, beautiful all around

  • Fits the family.
I waited until after my first big use (a 5 hour zoo trip) to write this review because it gave me the full usage of this big ol wagon. First, I had my husband put it together but it was no issue for him albeit he is a super handy fellow. Without his help or the instructions I managed to figure out how to unfold it and re assemble the necessary bits and fold it back up while removing the necessary bits to fold. You have to remove the floor and the canopy when folding it up. Not a huge deal, it comes apart and goes together to simply. When you get it folded up and go to load it... This this is HEAVY. I consider myself a pretty strong girl (I'm an EMT so I have to lifts cots with patients regularly) and this is heavy and super awkward to lift. I am only 5'4" on a good day so loading it into the back of my caravan is for sure an interesting experience. I managed just fine but it is a TIGHT FIT in the back of that baby and had to readjust it a few times to get it to let my hatch close by itself. Unloading was just as awkward with my height but as mentioned before it goes together fairly easily and you can do it pretty quickly even being inexperienced with it. Now, you can see in the picture this this is a whole tank. It holds 4 of my kiddos 8yo 5yo 3yo 1yo with ease. They love it. Absolutely love everything about it. But, when they are all in it...... It's so hard to steer without getting in a full workout. It is already hard to push across grass, stone, and up a ramp just the 1 little guy in it but with all of them, it's simply exhausting. Maybe I'll get use to it. 🤷🏻♀️ At the zoo we went in and out of plenty of buildings, elevators, and even family bathrooms and it was not a problem to fit except 1 single door, we had to open the 2nd double door to get it. The kids said it was comfortable and with the 1yo being a 1 yo it was nice to be able to move the seats back a bit and let him have a portable play pen while the big kids ran around. While we were at the zoo I saw a kenze (spelling is wrong I'm sure) wagon and it looked honestly....nicer. it was a bit smaller but it came with a bar for snacks and cups which would have been awesome, and it looked like it pushes much easier. I am not disappointed with my purchase but I wish it was lighter, easier to push across different terrain, and came with a few more helpful accessories for the price. ... show more

  • Amazing product hands down
I genuinely have zero complaints. This is a huge upgrade from my previous wagon—which I already thought was excellent. This one is on another level. It’s stylish, incredibly durable, and thoughtfully designed with efficient storage and a wide range of useful accessories. As a family, we take trips that involve a lot of walking with our kids, and this wagon is going to make a noticeable difference. It eliminates so much of the usual hassle and effort. I’m honestly impressed. It’s absolutely worth the price. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for—if you want the best, this is it. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble, HEAVY!
There are Pros and Cons... abilities and limitations. And while this is a five star review for the wagon, my personal needs make this a wagon that just wasn’t for us. Here’s what I think you should know: Easiest thing I have EVER put together! The directions are beautiful and the process is super simple!! Easy to fold and unfold. Not easy at ALL to lift into my Ford Edge!! It’s not just the weight... it’s awkward to hulk up and into any cargo space or truck bed. She’s like 62+ pounds 😬 We have a Tactical Baby Gear edition Veer Cruiser and, while I prefer the push, the layout, and the space of the W4S, I choose the Veer more times than not because of the weight & the smaller fold. Don’t get me wrong, this is an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and extremely well-made stroller wagon. It is AMAZING for grocery shopping, strolls on paved or hard-pack trails, hitting the mall, or heading to the zoo... BUT, you must be aware that: beach sand is a huge NO (the strain on the frame will break it & the wheels just aren’t large enough because of the weight), the pull strap is about useless, and she’s heavy to load. This wagon is an upscale, PRETTY, roomie cruiser. She has her uses but there are limitations and cons (just like with any stroller or other wagons). Overall, this wagon is smooth pushing and well built but, for me, the limitations and cons make it not worth the price (lucky for me, I found a friend to buy mine). Also be aware that accessories for this thing are all “a la carte” so things get even more expensive quickly! You could be $1000 in and still not have all the accessories you want/need. ... show more
