I bought these pants for an upcoming trip to Finland. As such, I can’t speak to how cold hardy they are yet. But from a fashion perspective, I will say they are stylish and I won’t hesitate to wear them out to dinner while on our trip. They feel quite warm due to the fleece lining which does not overly bulk up the pants. As far as fit, I am 5’2” and weigh 143 lbs. I’m not a round shape, somewhat fit. As such, the size 10 fit perfectly. If necessary, I will be able to fit a base layer beneath them with no problem. The leg length is long, of course, given my height. But because the ankles are somewhat tapered, there is no drag. This will make them acceptable for the plane ride if I so choose because the legs won’t drag on the airplane toilet room floor. Also, the narrower leg opening let’s them fit snugly at the top of the footwear so it’ll also keep the legs warm I’m assuming. Would buy again. ... show more

    • Fabulous lightweight but warm
Size is accurate. The fleece lining is warm but not thick or cumbersome. 5 pockets all zip for security. They’re a little long but that’s so they cover boots and keep snow out I’ll just fold them up a little to wear back and forth to the gym this winter. These are going to keep me cozy!

These pants were one of the best things I packed on a trip to Alaska. They held up great in the cold rain and kept me warm, dry, and comfortable. I always have a hard time finding pants that fit well and hate “skinny” cuts as I am a curvier girl but these fit great! The only thing I didn’t like is even with the elastic in the sides of the waist, the waist gapped a lot in the back for me. Other than that, they are great outdoor winter pants. Very impressed with the quality of these pants. The fit is excellent. Stretches with me, but not too snug. The waistband doesn’t have any gaps which I love the zipper pockets are a bonus. Very happy with my purchase.

Purchased these for a new years camping trip. Didnt receive them in time but got then upon my return. Usually wear a 16 but wanted some room for a pair of leggings underneath so I purchased a 18. When they arrived they looked good with quality stitching and strong looking belt loops.I wish it had a STRONG snap on the fly instead of a hard to use button hole. but the elastic was good. They had almost a perfect amount of stretch but the cut of the fabric is just not comfortable. They feel like they were developed from a mens pair and cut a tiny bit different for a fuller body but not actually a womans body. I had enough room for two sock packages in the front and needed an extra 1 1/3 in the back for my bum. So weird to walk with to much fabric in the front and the back is sliding down to show parts that should be unseen. They are nicely warm and I will have to remove them for this review . The fabric is nicely quiet and the pockets are amazingly deep. But even purchasing the long version I am wearing floods in these pants. So all the stickers that I hike through will jam up in my socks and under the pant leg. Between the lacking length and my bum sticking out even before I bend over I will be sending these back and looking for another pair. If you read this and have found a pain like what I might need, hook me up please!! I need something besides jeans to hike in. ... show more

My girlfriend bought these and she is 5'1" and 117 lbs (athletic/muscular build), bought a medium based on reviews saying that these pants run large-- and they were way, way too big around the waist. We could literally stick our 13lb cat in there too and still have extra room to eat a salty burger. Can pull them on and off without unbuttoning them, about 6 inches too large around the waist. They have some elastic on the sides to stretch also, which makes them even bigger. They are a little long, but hey, longer is better than too short for tall people and is fine to go over boots or hem it (all pants are long on her anyways). Overall, these pants are warm, comfortable, and perfect for winter weather. They look good butt/legs down, though the waist part is very high and looks more like guys' pants there (eh who cares, shirts/jackets cover up that part). They go pretty high and sit at waist height (this may be because she is very short though and pulling them up so they drag less on the floor). They drag 1-2 inches on the floor on her height, but plan to tuck them into boots, so no big deal. I would say if you normally wear a small (size 0 or 2 pants), don't hesitate to get a small. If you are in the L/XL+ size range, then size up based on what other reviewers said to do. Update: We returned and got size small. These fit loosely, could still pull on and off without unbuttoning but wearable and a good loose fit. Can easily put another layer of yoga/stretchy pants underneath the small for layers for cold weather and still feel comfortable in the small. Going to keep these, and highly recommend buying them!!! ... show more

I've "outgrown" my other winter pants and needed to break down and buy a pair that fit. I didn't want to break the bank doing it though. I found these online and thought I'd give them a try--pairs like this would cost 3x's this amount at gear stores. Plus, my size is impossible to find in those stores. I'm 5'7", 47/40/49. I took a chance and got the 40' waist and love them. They fit perfectly in the thighs and rear, not tight and not too loose/baggy. They are a little large in the waist, but have nice built in belt with them that seems study enough. I love the zipper pockets. Keeps keys etc secure and keeps the pockets from bulging out. They are long and I have to roll them up twice, but it doesn't look odd. The pants are not wide at the bottom, but not narrow either, fit nicely over boots. They are thick and warm and very comfortable. I'd definitely buy again. ... show more
