I took a chance on these boots with no reviews. I was not disappointed. I wanted plain ankle boots that had arch support and a wide toe box for natural toe splay. These boots were the only ones that i could find that checked all the boxes. They do have really good arch support and are really comfortable and my toes can splay as they're supposed to. The water resistance is a really nice bonus but i haven't tested their resistance yet. I use these for hiking. They work well. They are for men or for women so they were a bit wide. Men's feet are usually a bit bulkier so that was no surprise. I like it a bit roomy. It doesn't cause any discomfort. I love that they come with extra padding as a spacer just in case you need it if your feet aren't so wide. Mine aren't so i added that. That still left room in there but thats just a nice option to have. They're really nice shoes and i love them ... show more

Size: Order your regular size, I can't imagine ordering up because these shoes are huge as it is! So when I first saw these and wanted to see what opinions people had on them, I died at one of the reviews because they are big! I have edema in one of my feet and it's difficult finding shoes that don't look like something your grandpa would wear at the nursing home. They almost look too comically big, like I feel like one of the kids in kingdom hearts with their ridiculously huge shoes. Meanwhile my normal sized foot is like "Where the hell are we?" If you have naturally wide feet, I'd say get these. Update: Since they were just a tad too long for my normal size, I went a half size down and they fit perfectly! ... show more

    • Slippery soles, weird arch support placement

These have really poor traction. In the entry way to my apartment these were sliding quite easily on the imitation wood flooring. My rubber sole boots do not have this issue. I don’t think EVA foam is a good idea for these shoe soles. In addition, while they fit fine, the arch support felt more like it was in the middle of my foot rather than where my arch is (towards the inner side). Kind of weird, and I don’t think this will work long term for comfort or practicality if the grip isn’t there. Took a gamble with the low price, and it’s pretty clear what the tradeoffs are. It’s not just that the material choices are cheap - I did expect that for the outside materials, but the sole isn’t made out if anything grippy. Will be returning. ... show more

Love these boots. Wide, good support, rugged. These boots are not high fashion. I'm a pet sitter. I need boots i can wear when taking care of horses, chickens, pigs, goats in all kinds of weather. These are waterproof and easily cleaned. I have wide short feet. I read the reviews and chose size 7. They r wide so don't size up. I have wide low calf and the boot top rubs on the lower calf. I have to wear ankle socks to prevent chafing.. This is not v unusual for knee.. many boots do the same. Most everyone else won't have this issue. ... show more
