I bought this sweater after reading the New Times recent review of cashmere sweaters. The cashmere is soft and silky. The quality for the price is very good. I haven't worn it yet so I can't comment on pilling. The purple color is slightly darker than shown online. But a beautiful rich color. The Original Cashmere Crewneck Sweater is a relaxed fit giving it a slightly casual look. I did try to size down for a more fitted sweater but the next size down was too short. I also ordered the Peacock which is a beautiful jewel toned deep blue green as shown online. The Seafoam is not as pictured. It appears light blue online but is actually a true seafoam-soft greenish blue. I am 63.5" and 120 lbs. I tried the the small and x-small. The small fit best; loose but a good length. The x-small was a more feminine fit but still fit well in the shoulders and arm length but too short in the torso. I recommend the NAADAM Women's Original Cashmere Crewneck sweater. Much better quality than Charter Club or this year's Landsend women's long sleeved crewneck. UPDATE (11-18-25): I've worn my NAADAM sweaters several times and have washed them in the washing machine a couple of times in a mesh bag, regular, warm/cold cycle, full load and laid flat to dry. They did not shrink and retained their shape. I did have to lightly iron. I've had minimal pilling; mostly under the arms where the inside of the arm rubs against my torso. I'm ordering more colors.

Although the color is beautiful and the fit is really nice, I'm not so sure that this is 100%cashmere. I have several cashmere Sweaters and this is not nearly as soft in texture as my others. I'll keep it because it is still a nice sweater and nice for what I need.

This sweater is very soft and feels elegant! It was not as itchy as other cashmere sweaters I tried (I'm sensitive to clothing textures), and was more affordable. I wear with a camisole underneath. Will probably purchase an additional one in another color.

This sweater arrived with pilling under the arm and along the bust, and smelled strongly of perfume; clearly worn and returned but sold to me as new. Additionally, I ordered a women's style but the sweater that I got was cut for a man - narrow ribbed waist and large droopy shoulders. Sold as a women's sweater but it is unisex styling - nothing more than a man's style pawned off for both women and men. Our bodies are different and women don't look good in clothing designed for a man's body.

At first I loved this sweater. The color is true to the image. The size chart was accurate. It's soft enough, not as soft as *good* cashmere, but it was fine. I was able to easily style it with jeans, black slacks, and a navy silk skirt. However, after the first wash it was already starting to lose some of the softness and starting to shrink (gentle wash cold, air dry). After two washes, it's unflatteringly snug and the sleeves don't even reach my wrists anymore.

Certainly not 100% cashmere; probably not even 50% cashmere in this itchy little number. The fit is great perhaps on the small side but not unreasonable, and the color is lovely. It is, however, stiff and itchy and I’d be hard pressed to say there is any cashmere in this sweater. I bought it on the New York Times recommendation willing to try it out. From the reviews it does appear some people received a cashmere sweater, but I was not one of them despite the label on sed sweater. I’d say you get what you pay for and “cashmere” for that price is suspect at best. Lesson learned.
