Is this bag inexpensive? Yes. Is it the highest quality bag you can buy? Obviously not. But it’s a great bag for the price point. It’s roomy, versatile, and holds up pretty damn good to a lot of use. I bought 4 of these bags about 2 years ago in different colors and I’ve used them all in rotation consistently during those two years. I’ve stuffed them full to overflowing with all the crap you usually put in a bag and then some. Big wallets, small wallets, makeup and grooming supplies, books, laptop, tablet, phones, charging bricks and other electronic equipment plus all the power cords, knitting, bills, toys, beach supplies, snacks, extra clothes and miscellaneous junk that I might need but never actually use. And they’ve all held up to everything incredibly well for a $16 bag. I’m here because I just bought another one and I wanted others to know that this is a nice bag for the price. I have a number of higher quality bags, but I always go back to using these because they look good with everything, are easy to carry, work best for all my needs and the price can’t be beat. I highly recommend getting a purse organizer insert in a size large to use with these bags. I have had one for a few months now and it makes switching purses a breeze. They keep all my thingamabobs organized and when I want to change my purse to match my outfit, I just grab the little handles, lift everything out in one swoop and plop it into the new bag. Overall, I'm giving this bag a solid 4 out of 5 stars, but let me break it down for you. First off, let's talk size. Yes, the dimensions are correct, but let's just say I may have underestimated just how much junk I carry around with me on a daily basis. This tote bag is definitely on the smaller side, so if you're a "pack everything but the kitchen sink" kind of person like me, you might want to size up. Now, let's move on to the texture. The product description may say "faux leather," but let me tell you, this bag looks and feels nothing like it. It's more of a hard plasticky faux leather with an odd pattern effect. But hey, I'm not mad about it, I will just be changing my use of it. All in all, this tote bag might not have been exactly what I was expecting, but it's still a cute and functional little bag. Plus, it's held up well so far. Just make sure you know what you're getting into size-wise, and don't expect that classic "faux leather" look. But if you're cool with that, this bag might be for you.

Update: I bought this a while ago when I was interviewing, and had never used it for work until this week. It holds much more than I would have guessed and looks more professional than my usual canvas bag. Surprisingly it fit everything, including glasses, box of allergy pills, a zillion pencils and pens, tissues, wallet, phone, keys, other random bits and bobs, and a freezie meal for lunch. I had to carry my water bottle but that's fine. Original review: I don't know why, since I did check the measurements, but I was visualizing something bigger. This could pass for a large purse. The compact size is more streamlined, and it's exactly what I needed to carry the basics like padfolio, wallet, phone etc. for job interviews (could also fit a laptop). If that's what you need, you're set - it's minimalist and good for when you want to look polished. I just wouldn't get this expecting to use it for the gym or a weekend trip. It's not that kind of tote. Another reviewer said the faux pebbled leather texture looked the highest quality, so that's what I chose. I'm grateful for their insight and totally agree. I was nervous it would look super cheapo, given the very low price, but in person it looks much more expensive than it is. (Love it when that happens!) The construction quality is impressive, and despite arriving folded, it doesn't have any creasing. One major benefit to buying here vs. in a store is that instead of being limited to the standard black or random neutrals, they have a zillion colors and textures, so you can get a few and switch them out. It's an interesting design - narrower at the top but then has a flat bottom with more space. There's also a pocket inside. It comes with a decorative tassel to jazz it up, and a surprisingly cute and versatile strip of scarf they include as an option. Normally the scarf-on-bag-handle isn't my thing, but here it somehow looks good. This is a great choice if you're looking for a simple bag to take to work.

Very cute everyday bag tote for work. I gave it 5 stars because, for $17, it really is worth every penny! Just a heads up… I wouldn’t say it’s 15” across. Because of the flat seam, once you put anything in it, it rounds the edges and makes it more like 12”. This matters if you, like me, like to just throw everything into your bag without having to “organize” it. I wish it were roomier. But still! It’s a great bag for the price! The little satin tie is a really cute perk too.
