I am a HUGE fan of clothing that makes it look like I put considerably more thought into getting dressed than I actually did, and this cardigan absolutely understands the assignment. 😂 The fabric is really soft, stretchy, and comfortable, with a smooth, drapey feel that falls nicely instead of clinging to every curve and announcing its location to the general public. As a curvy girl, I very much appreciate clothing that knows how to skim rather than spotlight. One thing worth mentioning is that this is much thinner and lighter than most of my other cardigans. If you're expecting a cozy, chunky sweater-cardigan situation, this isn't it. But that's actually a PLUS for me because I already have plenty of heavier cardigans. This one is perfect for warmer weather, transitional seasons, cool evenings, or overly enthusiastic air conditioning when I want another layer without roasting alive. I especially love the waterfall-style front and irregular hem. It gives the cardigan some movement and visual interest instead of just hanging there like a sad rectangle of fabric. The longer drape also provides nice coverage through the tummy and hip area without making the whole thing bulky. And POCKETS! Actual functional pockets! Because apparently women's clothing manufacturers occasionally remember that we, too, possess phones, keys, and hands that would like somewhere to go. 😂 The open-front style makes this ridiculously versatile. Tank and jeans? Yep. Tee and leggings? Absolutely. Dressier top and pants? Sure. Toss it over something when the weather is just a little too warm for one of my heavier sweaters? PERFECT. Another big plus: it's washable! I love clothing that doesn't require a complicated maintenance agreement. The listing says it can be machine washed, which makes this much more practical for something I'll probably reach for frequently. Cute AND doesn't require me to arrange visitation with a dry cleaner? We're doing well. The polyester/spandex blend has plenty of give, so it's easy to move in, and the relaxed cut is forgiving without looking sloppy. Despite being thin, it doesn't feel like it's just going to immediately lose its shape and surrender. For the money, I think it's a really good value, especially because it fills a different role than my thicker cardigans. It's lightweight enough for warmer days, easy to layer, washable, comfortable, has pockets, and can go from lounging around the house to errands or a casual outing without looking like I simply wandered outside in my house clothes. I ordered this Charming Ashley brand women’s long sleeve open front cardigan in black. It has 2 side pockets and has a shorter straight hem in the back and a longer draped irregular hem in the front. It is made of 95% polyester and 5% spandex and is machine washable. It is a medium weight/thickness and the material is nice and soft. You can wear it as is or for a more fitted look you can tie it in the front. The listing shows it tied up high at waist level but I prefer to tie it low at hip level. You can wear it all year long, inside in air conditioned rooms in the summer or outside in cooler weather. You can wear it with casual clothes or dressier outfits. It is currently priced at $19.99. There are a number of similar options on Amazon at lower price points. I have ordered a many of these open front cardigans in various colors over the years from Amazon and some have been thinner and lower quality and some have been same as this one. Overall, I would rate it as 5 stars as it does seem to be a good quality and fits well. ... show more

This charming Ashley long sleeve cardigan is beautiful and so comfortable. The fabric is soft and has a beautiful stretch to it. The high low type design is so cute. The sleeve length is perfect and the size chart was perfect and true to size. I bought the one 1X and I have extra room. For reference I am 5 foot five, 225 LB’s, and measure 44x37x49. I will be buying more in this cardigan as the material and quality are all around so comfortable and I could use some more colors. Definitely recommend. ... show more

I love a nice draping cardigan or lightweight jacket, but this one wasn't quite what I expected. I was hoping for something a little fuller and longer that would drape nicely around my hips. The material is very lightweight and stretchy, and the colors are more muted than I expected. Overall, it has the look and feel of a typical inexpensive print-on-demand garment. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, but there's nothing that really makes it stand out either. That said, it would make a perfectly good casual cover-up when you just want to throw something on and run to the store. I picked up this lightweight cardigan to use during the summer, mainly for those times when indoor air conditioning makes places feel a bit too chilly. It definitely has the light feel I was looking for, but I was surprised by the fabric when it arrived. Instead of feeling like a typical cardigan or light jacket, the material is more like a thin polyester shirt. It also came out of the package very wrinkled. I steamed it, which helped somewhat, but there are still quite a few wrinkles that didn’t relax fully. Once I put it on, I did like the overall look. The irregular hem and drapey front panels give it a nice shape, and it hangs well without feeling bulky. It’s comfortable for indoor wear and adds just enough coverage without feeling heavy. The lightweight fabric works for warm weather, but the wrinkle factor is something to keep in mind if you prefer pieces that look crisp right away.
